Olivia Colman, who earned an Oscar for her role as Queen Anne in 2018’s The Favourite, recently addressed the pay disparity that still exists in Hollywood in a candid interview with CNN’s The Amanpour Hour.
“Don’t get me started on the pay disparity, but male actors get paid more because they used to say they drew in the audiences,” The Crown actress told host Christiane Amanpour. “And actually, that hasn’t been true for decades, but they still like to use that as a reason to not pay...

While there's no doubt catching Yorgos Lanthimos' latest on the big screen will allow you to appreciate the eye-popping Oscar-winning production design, the bladder-challenging length also makes it attractive for home viewing. Emma Stone - who also won an Oscar last week - has a whale of a time as Bella Baxter, a woman who has been brought back to life using the brain of a baby by oddball surgeon Dr Godwin Baxter (Willem Dafoe). As she begins to learn about the world, she sets off on an adventure with the rakish Duncan Wedderburn (Mark Ruffalo channelling Terry-Thomas), who soon finds out her path to self-discovery might run roughshod over him. Stylish, provocative and laced with plenty of dark humour.

Sofia Vergara‘s Golden Buzzer act, Lebanese dance group Mayyas, took the stage for the last time on Tuesday night as they danced for America’s votes during the “America’s Got Talent” finale performance show. The all-female dance troupe previously wowed the judges with their intricately crafted routines and synchronized movements, but now it all comes down to America’s vote. Do You think Mayyas did enough to join the “AGT” winners list? Watch the “AGT” video above.
During their pre-show package, the performers explained how their goal is to show “the image of people coming together for one purpose” and that “the best is yet to come.” Their live act began with a single woman wearing a beautiful white snow-like dress, and then the dress coming alive thanks to all of the dancers hiding inside of it. Later, the girls all carried circular lights and showed off their infamous...

Chapel Hart took the stage for the last time on Tuesday night as they sang for America’s votes during the “America’s Got Talent” finale performance show. The Mississippi country trio admitted “song choice is probably everything” when host Terry Crews asked them how they planned on standing out from the crowd. Well, they raised the roof with their original song “American Pride” during the live show and had the audience up on their feet. Watch the “AGT” video above.
After previously earning the Golden Buzzer from the entire panel, Chapel Hart has been heralded by country superstars like Dolly Partner and Tanya Tucker. They clearly have a huge future ahead of themselves, but did they do enough to join the “AGT” winners list? The judges were mixed in their critiques, with both Simon Cowell and Howie Mandel mentioning their off-key vocals.

Comic Con hasn’t been strictly superheroes in a long, long time. We have scoured the schedule for this year’s event and have pulled out the dark, the bloody, the monstrous, and the ghostly panels that look to be right up FEARnet readers’s alley.
Paranormal Passion Panel
Authors discuss the inclusion of romantic elements in their action-packed novels. Protagonists must battle the forces of evil while trying to keep the world (and often their lovers) safe from destruction. Maryelizabeth Hart of Mysterious Galaxy leads a discussion with Comic-Con special guest Christine Feehan (The Dark Series), Claudia Gray (Spellcaster), Aprilynne Pike (Earthbound), Lauren Kate (The Fallen Novels), Kendare Blake (Antigoddess), and Magnus Flyte (City of Dark Magic).

Fox has one of its better slates coming your way with the new season, especially if you take the midseason shows into account. Some of these shows may not jump out at you now as must-see, but some of them are going to take over, if I’m any judge anyway.
Clear showcase offerings Dads, Almost Human, and Us & Them are guaranteed to take off early. Almost Human has J.J. Abrams recognition to pull people in, though it looks to be a show that could flounder after a few episodes, even if I hope it doesn’t. The other two are going to become hits. Unfortunately, we have to wait until mid-season for the Gavin & Stacey remake.
Rake also looks like a winner, as long as the translation can be made to work as an Americanized product, and the show actually delivers what made the Australian original so brilliant.

The Comic-Con 2012 schedule has now been released in full, and barring any major updates, is set. The blessing and curse of being an attendee is deciding which panels/autograph sessions/special events to attend, when they conflict. And they always do.
For you to see for yourself, below are what we are calling the “headliner” panels; those panels that are taking place in Hall H, Ballroom 20, Room 6Bdf, and the just-next-door Hilton Indigo Ballroom, the four major venues for panels. There are descriptions of each panel as well as the show(s) and/or movie(s) they are there to discuss.
See how many conflicts you might have, or how you might arrange time and space to somehow attend these plus spend every day in the vendors’ Exhibit Hall and chasing zombies in the nearby The Walking Dead Escape. By the way, if you figure that out, Please let us know.

Plus Justin Timberlake plays gay on The Cleveland Show, will Nph voice Spider Man, and Mike Posner is adorable.
Justin Timberlake is set to voice a gay character on The Cleveland Show. The Terry character, who I thought was straight, will fall in love with Justin’s character. Why do I sense another Seth MacFarlane fight in the comments in my future?
Last night Alec Mapa was on Lopez Tonight, and he had a special comment on the Prop 8 verdict. I wish the video were embeddable, but I’ll just say it’s worth the click over.
The Ultimate Spider Man cartoon is about to hit the air, but there’s still no voice for Peter Parker. Several possible candidates exist, including Neil Patrick Harris, who’s voiced Parker before. Josh Hutcherson sounds promising, and I’m not completely against Topher Grace. I am completely against Michael Cera.

Shawn Ashmore (The Ruins), Emma Bell, and Kevin Zegers (pictured), whom most horror fans remember as Terry from Zack Snyder’s Dawn of the Dead redux or Evan from Rob Schmidt’s Wrong Turn, have just joined the cast of Adam Green’s next horror outing, Frozen, according to this morning’s THR.
Zegers will play a snowboarder who gets stranded on a mountain somewhere in New England along with his best friend (Ashmore) and girlfriend (Bell) when the slopes close down for the weekend. The trio have to survive both the elements and a hungry pack of wolves if they want to make it back to society.
Frozen starts shooting in Utah next week, and since Adam Green is one cool motherfucker, I’m guessing you can expect to be hearing a lot from the set of the film. Keep it here for more updates as they roll in!
