Bart gets a makeover. Tine now works in a cinema and gets along well with her colleague Maarten. Tom is jealous. Maaike has been asked for a feature film. There is much ado about favorite one-night stands.
It's all about charity: Bart supports the elderly, Benny and Maaike organize a swimwear special. Maarten helps Tine look for a birthday present for Tom. Tom's birthday is celebrated with a fancy dinner with the entire family.
Bart participates in a new program by Katja Retsin, 'De Verrassing'. 'Het geslacht De Pauw' is commercialized. Brother Tom is the big initiator. Maaike is having an increasingly difficult time with Bart's strange behavior.
One of Flanders' leading magazines runs a major story on the De Pauw family. Tine's father has died. On top of the sorrow, the inheritance and testament are a heavy burden. Bart also receives some big news.
Bart wants to share his talent. In his 'Laboratoire De Pauw' he teaches eight students the ins and outs of television, both theoretically and in practice. Tom spares no effort to win Tine back.
Benny is gradually becoming more popular than Bart and the camera crew is instructed to follow Benny more. We see Benny and his fellow students at work at the art academy. Bart tries to shine, but gets in trouble with the camera crew.
Every fortnight, Bart's son Damien stays over for a weekend. Maaike organizes a class reunion at home. She's assisted by Benny, who is involved in an art project about political refugees. Bart is secretive about a minor medical procedure.
Tine is glad to return to the cinema. Bart is very busy: he publishes a book and tries to convince his employer of a third season of 'Het geslacht De Pauw'. Benny exhibits his work. The exhibition has some surprising guests.
