It has gotten to the point where I really don't care what the hell Anthony Bourdain cares about anything. I liked Kitchen Confidential (the book, not the TV show) and some of his other writing, but this need to speak out on anything and everything in the food world he finds lame or disgusting or "evil" has gotten old. Now he (and chef David Chang) is speaking out on other things he can't stand, and one of them is Food Network host Guy Fieri.
Personally, I wouldn't bleach my hair and wear those shorts, but come on, is it really worth bad mouthing his hosting and cooking? I love Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives and Ultimate Recipe Showdown!
Update: it's actually Chang who made the remarks, but Bourdain doesn't like Fieri either.

Movie Review: Love Khichdi; Star cast: Randeep Hooda, Sada, Rituparna Sengupta, Sonali Kulkarni, Divya Dutta, Kalpana Pandit, Jesse Randhawa and Riya Sen; Director: Srinivas Bhashyam; Rating: * 1/2 - Causes indigestion.
Lifted from a copy of popular American TV series Kitchen Confidential, Love Khichdi is about a casanova chef Vir (Randeep) Hooda chef who is on a bed hopping spree and is busy fantasizing about the many women in his life. Whether it is male hating kaamwali bai (Sonali) or his bookstore running ‘intellectual’ colleague (Rituparna) or his adolescent. »

Have a question about gay male entertainment? Ask the Monkey! (Please include your city and state and/or country.)
Q: Oh wise and airborne simian, I've noted the massive number of posts on Torchwood over the last couple of weeks, and I wonder if it hasn’t generated more posts than any other topic on After Elton.com. If it hasn't, what subject has? -- Hayden, London, UK
Captain Jack says goodbye to Ianto in Torchwood: Children of Earth
A: First, your salutation made me laugh. Second, the answer is unequivocally yes, nothing else has ever come close to the interest we’ve seen in Torchwood’s “Children of Earth”mini-series – specifically creator Russell T Davies’ decision to kill off the gay character of Ianto. By now, we’ve all made our opinions known ad nauseum, so I won’t get into that again.
But I’ve also talked »

Alias star Bradley Cooper, who's made memorable appearances in Nip/Tuck and starred in the short-lived Kitchen Confidential (and also is rumored to be the favorite for the title role in the big-screen Green Lantern) will co-star in the Garry Marshall-directed ensemble romantic comedy Valentine's Day:
Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Shirley MacLaine, Bradley Cooper and Ashton Kutcher are in final negotiations to star in the movie, which has five slightly interconnecting stories playing out during a Valentine's Day in Los Angeles.
Roberts is an army officer on leave from Iraq on a flight to L.A. Cooper, on the same flight, is a gay man whose lover is a closeted football player.
Okay, while we all try to wipe the incomprehensible sentence "Roberts is an army officer on leave from Iraq" from our minds, let's ponder who should play the as-yet-uncast role of Bradley's closeted football player lover. »

Written by Matt Goldberg Bradley Cooper is becoming fairly ubiquitous. After having a solid supporting role on a few seasons of "Alias" and headline Fox's failed television adaptation of Anthony Bourdain's "Kitchen Confidential", Cooper has made sure to stay on movie screens with supporting roles in "Yes Man", "He's Just Not That Into You", and this summer's "The Hangover". Now Drew over at HitFix is saying that Cooper is on the short-list to star in Martin Campbell's adaptation of DC Comics' "Green Lantern". Drew makes sure to note that this isn't a wish-list or taking-a-meeting type non-sense but that solid sources are telling him that Cooper is the one to bet on for taking this movie. It's a sensible choice. My only concern is if Cooper can be charismatic enough. Heroes, unless they're Batman, have to be likable. »

Bradley Cooper has more and more been the go to guy for comedy, sometimes playing smarmy douches you'd want to punch in the face. But the dude has spread himself out of the comedy genre starring in Clive Barker's Midnight Meat Train, the upcoming thriller Case 39 and TV shows like Nip/Tuck and Kitchen Confidential. With Yes Man, The Rocker and now The Hangover, Bradley keeps his comedy streak alive. Bradley Cooper Is this considered a dark comedy? Bradley Cooper: Yes. There is a »

USA Network confirmed on Thursday (March 26) that Bitty Schram will return to "Monk" for its eighth and final season. It won't be a long return, though, for Schram's Sharona.
