Pretty decent effort

Comic Relief 2005 was easily the best red nose day there has been for several year, and generally was a pretty decent effort from everybody. The ever reliable, and star of so many great comic relief sketches over the years Rowan Aktinson appeared in Spider-plant Man, a hilarious send up of the Spider-man films featuring the likes of Tony Robinson and Simon Pegg. The special episode of The Vicar of Dibley, a show I rarely watch was very enjoyable, as was Dick and Dom's pro-celebrity "Bogies!". While the Little Britain sketches were nowhere near as good as the first TV series, there were still some rather funny moments, especially the part with George Michaels.

Like most years there were unfunny parts, French and Saunders being this year's main culprits, but while McFly's rubbish official song was shown a lot, at least the hilarious video to unofficial song from Tony Christie and Peter Kay was shown. Comic Relief does Fame Academy was entertaining, although clearly Kim not Edith should have won.

In summary 2005 was the best night for Comnic Relief since the mid nineties.
