Epix’s two-part docuseries Laurel Canyon, directed by Alison Elwood, explores the musical community which nestled into the wooded area right outside the Sunset Strip. Chris Hillman, the first member of The Byrds, moved in after creating folk rock. The Monkees’ Mickey Dolenz threw ping pong tournaments next door to Alice Cooper. Frank Zappa planted his freak flag on the corner of Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Lookout Mountain. And Michelle Phillips and John Phillips moved onto Lookout Mountain in 1965.
Their band, The Mamas and the Papas, practically invented the Southern California hippie sound, and Michelle was the catalyst. After hearing John Sebastian strum a tune which would become a major hit for his band The Lovin’ Spoonful, Michelle saw the direction the New Journeymen–the band she was in with her husband and other future Papa Denny Doherty–should go. Both sonically and geographically.

Gold Derby readers have been making their predictions all week long for which two of the Top 10 artists on “The Voice” won’t be making it into the Top 8, and things are not looking good for Joana Martinez and Shane Q. Both of these contestants have already appeared in the bottom and successfully sang for their lives in the instant save, but now their journeys on NBC’s reality TV show may be coming to an end. Joana of Team Gwen Stefani has 1/3 racetrack odds of going home on Tuesday night while Shane of Team Kelly Clarkson has odds of 2/11.

Katherine Waterston is sprawled on the floor of her dressing room. "I hurt my back a few days ago," she explains, slightly embarrassed. "It's not as bad as it looks, trust me." Waterston is backstage at the Good Morning America studios in Manhattan, having just appeared with a handful of her Alien: Covenant costars to stump for the movie on the morning-show circuit; right now, however, she's half-prone, half-sitting on the ground, and well aware that she resembles a vulnerable tangle of limbs stuck in the middle of an advanced yoga position.

Jason from Mnpp here at "Beauty vs Beast" o'clock, wishing everybody the happiest First Day of Summer possible... and if you're like me and you hate this season as much as I do then that includes a locked door, some drawn shades, and an air conditioner on full blast. Heat! Sweat! Sunshine! Blah! I want none of it. I have the opposite of what Mama Cass had in "California Dreamin'" - I dream of such a winter's day. (And that's why I live in NYC.) But you know what? There are only 93 days of Summer... it could be worse!

A review of the "Fargo" season 2 finale coming up just as soon as I decree no more schnitzel or strudel... "People are dead, Peggy." -Lou A palindrome, as you know, is a word or phrase that's the same backwards and forwards: "Madam, I'm Adam," or "Mom," or "A man, a plan, a canal: Panama!" Many of the players we met over the course of this season of "Fargo" don't seem particularly palindromic. They start as one thing, and end as something else entirely, and their journey looks radically different when viewed start to finish rather than finish to start. But then there is Lou Solverson, who is palindromic in character if not in name. He is the same at this tale's end as he was at the beginning, and as he will be 27 years in the future (when his facial features will be significantly different), and likely as he was...

The only thing trailers love to use more than the "Inception" Braaaahm! is a moody, slowed-down cover of a popular song.
"Suicide Squad" is the latest trailer to take advantage of this trend, with its version of the Bee Gees' "I Started a Joke." Here are 13 more movie previews that make good use of great covers.
1. "Creep" in "The Social Network" (2010)
Arguably the trailer that started this trend, this preview uses a children's choir cover of Radiohead's song perfectly -- making us want to buy All the tickets to see the Facebook movie.
2. "Happy Together" in "The Great Gatsby" (2013)
Remember Filter? Lots of drives to high school were scored to this band, but Baz Luhrmann may have found an even better use for their vocal stylings in this kinda badass trailer for his 2013 film.
3. "Once Upon a Dream" in "Maleficent" (2014)
Covering a song from "Sleeping Beauty" in your movie based on that film's villain?...

'San Andreas' movie with Dwayne Johnson. 'San Andreas' movie box office: $100 million domestic milestone today As the old saying (sort of) goes: If you build it, they will come. Warner Bros. built a gigantic video game, called it San Andreas, and They have come to check out Dwayne Johnson perform miraculous deeds not seen since ... George Miller's Mad Max: Fury Road, released two weeks earlier. Embraced by moviegoers, hungry for quality, original storylines and well-delineated characters – and with the assistance of 3D surcharges – the San Andreas movie debuted with $54.58 million from 3,777 theaters on its first weekend out (May 29-31) in North America. Down a perfectly acceptable 52 percent on its second weekend (June 5-7), the special effects-laden actioner collected an extra $25.83 million, trailing only the Melissa McCarthy-Jason Statham comedy Spy, (with $29.08 million) as found at Box Office Mojo.* And that's how this original movie – it's not officially a remake,...

Sia has long proved her talent for writing sweeping, dramatic pop songs, but the star can also do the same when covering a classic track.
The singer-songwriter has transformed 1965 song 'California Dreamin'' into an epic Hollywood soundtrack for upcoming disaster film San Andreas.
Originally recorded by The Mamas & the Papas, the new version soars with rousing strings, dramatic drum beats and Sia's haunting tone.
San Andreas stars Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson, Alexandra Daddario, Carla Gugino, Colton Haynes, Ioan Gruffudd and Kylie Minogue.
The screenplay was written by Lost's Carlton Cuse and will be in cinemas from May 29.
Meanwhile, Sia recently teamed up with legendary Italian producer Giorgio Moroder for massive mirrorball anthem 'Déjà Vu'.

There's that down beat version of California Dreamin' again. I will admit the prospect of a disaster flick starring Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson had me expecting something pretty cheesy, but building on a great first trailer, San Andreas promises some pretty intense and entertaining mass destruction, the likes of which we haven't seen for a while. Sure, some cheese makes it's way in there (of course, I'm talking about The Rock cresting a tidal wave), but you can't deny that this looks like over the top, seriously insane fun. Released: 29th MaySynopsis: After the infamous San Andreas Fault finally gives, triggering a magnitude 9 earthquake in California, a search and rescue helicopter pilot, and his estranged wife make their way together from Los Angeles to San Francisco to save their only daughter. But their treacherous journey north is only the beginning, and when they think the worst may be over…it’s just getting started.

The first trailer for disaster flick "San Andreas" poses the question "Where will you be?" when the film's titular fault eventually ruptures, causing a massive 9-magnitude earthquake that ravages the entire west coast.
For Dwayne Johnson, who plays a search and rescue helicopter pilot, he's with his estranged wife (Carla Gugino), trying desperately to get from Los Angeles to San Francisco to save their daughter. Unfortunately, that journey is fraught with disaster at every turn, as the fault rupture has repercussions more far-reaching than anyone could have anticipated; as a scientist played by Paul Giamatti explains, "You will feel it on the east coast."
The trailer features effects galore, included leveled cities, a crumbling Hollywood sign, and the Hoover Dam bursting and being reduced to rubble. The clip is soundtracked by a haunting version of "California Dreamin'," but this event is nothing short of a nightmare.
"San Andreas" also stars Kylie Minogue,...

Exclusive: As Charles Manson gears up for his behind-bars nuptials to a young follower named Star, a February shoot has been set for long-gestating indie drama Manson Girls. Susanna Lo is directing the film about the female devotees who joined Manson’s flock in the 1960s and helped carry out brutal killings meant to start an apocalyptic race war. Bill Moseley (The Devil’s Rejects) will portray Manson in the film, which TriCoast Worldwide boarded this month at Afm.
Rather than probe the twisted brain of Manson himself, Manson Girls will chronicle how eight young women in his brood came from diverse and even privileged backgrounds to become the most notorious female serial killers of the decade’s Love Generation. The pic will follow the girls’ pre-Manson teen years through their indoctrination into the Family and up to the bloody summer of 1969 when their violent “Helter Skelter” campaign that...

California dreamin' just got a lot furrier. The state's first cat café, called Catfe, is opening in Los Angeles's Chinatown neighborhood in October, according to the La Weekly - and it sounds like the service there is going to be cat-tastic. Besides coffee, tea and other drinks, there will plenty of felines to pet and even adopt if you're older than 18, says the magazine. Catfe is the brainchild of Carlos Wong, who created a Kickstarter campaign earlier this year in hopes of bringing coffee and cats to the masses in the United States. To be honest, I almost forgot that we're supposed to be in a "girls' season" of American Idol. The boys sorta stepped up last week, and I got all the Anthony Perkins/Evan Lysacek realness I needed from Paul Jolley (who will so, so be eliminated if he keeps playing this "country ballads only" game like it's season four or something). But hey, look: These girls almost All awesome! We've got some countrified mademoiselles, a couple of grudge-bearing belters, a discolored weirdo named Kezban, and one total disaster named Zoanette who keeps Muppet-belching her way to the Top 20. Riveting stuff.

It's part 2 of Hollywood Week on "American Idol." The men's week was surprisingly free of drama. We don't think the women's turn will be quite so chill (no offense, ladies).
It's a long episode, so strap in kiddos. Here are some highlights:
Recovering anorexic Mariah Pulice does a nice job, but her crying sister really gets to us. Angela Miller rocks some "Who You Are," while Victoria Acosta sounds solid on "Killing Me Softly." The latter two advance, but not Mariah. Bummer. We see Ashley Smith, Ann Defany and Sarah Restuccio all get cut as well. It's a country face-off between Rachel Hale and Janelle Arthur, though since it's not actually an either/or proposition, they both advance. However, Janelle's "I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry" brought tears to our eyes, it was so good.Mariah Carey gives one of her "I'm slightly drunk" smiles with glazed-over eyes. Seriously, is she the new Paula?...

American Idol Top 4 Results: The Impossible Dream
I have a lot of feelings about American Idol. As a long time fan it's hard to watch and know the likelihood of your favorite winning, let alone become the next Carrie Underwood or Kelly Clarkson is slimmer each year. Sure, a lot of former contestants are doing quite well for themselves, and success can be measured in many ways, but let's be real. Part of the experience of watching the show is the desire to see your favorite become a megasuperstar. And as a long time viewer, and follower of the show, it's just not going to happen. When you take an excellent cast like season 7, and then realize that only one contestant has a contract, it's a little disappointing. (More on this later.)

Another night of standing O's for Ledet, more catcalls for Hollie Cavanagh and high praise for Phillip Phillips.

Joshua Ledet performs on "American Idol"

Wednesday night's episode of "American Idol" offered definitive proof of what happens when you give the kids the keys to the Lambo: they crash and burn.
On an evening when the themes were as vague as any we can recall (California Dreamin? Songs You Wish You'd Written?), the top four either went obscure or doubled-down on the most obvious choices possible, which made for an uneven night.
A few things became crystal clear, though: based on the girl squeals, Phillip Phillips could win this thing in a walk-off without singing another note as long as he loses his razor, smiles and keeps clothes shopping at J.C. Penny. Similarly, Joshua Ledet pretty much has it in the bag, while Hollie Cavanagh...

And then there were four... American Idol's grand finale is just around the corner and we can almost smell the confetti. Or not, considering confetti doesn't actually smell like anything, but you get what we mean. The top four, Hollie Cavanagh, Joshua Ledet, Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez, took the stage last night to battle it out. Their themes? California Dreamin' and The Song I Wish I Wrote. (Side note: can't believe no one chose "The Thong Song" for that one!) So who do we think is in danger of getting booted? And who really impressed us? Find out... Our Top Five Performances 5. Jessica Sanchez's "Steal Away" How awesome was it...

Idol is a bubbling cistern of anxiety at this point, and I won't paaaatroniiiize (quoth Hollie's "I Can't Make You Love Me" performance) you with much fanfare before the nitty-gritty. We have four combatants left, and exactly two of them should be shoo-ins for the final episode. And yet, they aren't. Will the finest two vocalists prevail? Because I am telling you they might be going. Bawl for us, Jennifer Holliday.
The less said about this week's themes, the better. The Top 4 hit the 'Idol' stage with one thing in mind -- getting closer to the finals. Who deserves to make the Top 3? The Top 4 took on songs with a California Dreamin' and Songs You Wish You Wrote themes. With such a wide-open second theme, the Idols had a plethora of songs that they could choose. But with the notoriously bad song choices the Idol hopefuls often make, did it turn into a great episode of performances or was it a bust? And why did they sing so many songs that were just on The Voice? Phillip Phillips: “Have You Ever Seen the Rain” by Creedence Clearwater Revival The death spot this week has been given out to the one and only Phillip Phillips. Do the producers really want to see him go home? This performance was leaps and bounds better than anything he did last week, but it wasn't spectacular.

The first theme for "American Idol" this week is California Dreamin', which means songs from artists/bands from California or songs about California, which is kind of weird, but then the back half is Songs The Idols Wish They Had Written, so basically Anything We Have the Rights To.
Tonight, J.Lo looks sparkly, Steven Tyler looks Vegas-y while showing off his old-man chest and Randy is missing the other three voice parts from his barbershop quartet. Seacrest is looking quite dapper in a gray suit with a striped tie and yellow pocket square. It's better than the disco-ain't-dead-no-tie-big-hair look he sports sometimes.
1. Phillip Phillips, "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?," Creedence Clearwater Revival
Ok, now if anybody should be doing Ccr, it's Phillip. This week, he's actually got a handle on the melody. It's not pitch-perfect, but it's much closer than that "Time of the Season" debacle. Also, the...

And then there were four! With the American Idol finale looming in two weeks, the stakes were higher than ever tonight as Phillip Phillips, Jessica Sanchez, Joshua Ledet and Hollie Cavanagh took the stage. Round one was "California Dreamin'"—songs either about California or by artists from the Golden State—and round two comprised songs that inspired the contestants so much, they wish they had written them. So, what did the kids come up with? And what did Ryan Seacrest ask girlfriend Julianne Hough during intermission?! Phillip could have probably just gone out there, given a wolf whistle and shot right to the top two, but instead he offered up a low-key yet still super-cool...

Final 4 madness, baby! It's another multi-theme episode, with Jessica, Joshua, Hollie and Phillip singing songs from the meaningless themes of California Dreamin' and Songs You Wish You Wrote. Please note that I got the specific phrasing of the second theme from the song spoilers bandleader Ray Chew tweets each week. You don't need to explain to me that it's a faulty use of the conditional tense and that it should probably be Songs You Wish You'd Written. Or something. [Seacrest did a better job of articulating the second theme than Ray Chew's list did.] Anyway, let's not spend too much time...

Even on Phillip Phillips' worst week, the "American Idol" finalist has never finished in the bottom of the pack. The Season 11 frontrunner admits to Zap2it that he's been surprised by his winning streak too.
"I [try to] forget about how I've never been in the bottom, because I mean I know I should've been and it at least two or three times and it hasn't happened," he tells Zap2it. "I know a lot of people will go by past performances as well [when they're voting], but a couple of times at least I should've been in the bottom -- but I feel so blessed that I haven't been."
Phillips says he just tries to take the competition week by week. Right now, he's hoping to make it to the Top 3 so he gets to go on one of the coveted hometown visits. "That would be amazing, if I get to go home and see my family and friends.

The final 4 "American Idol" singers of Season 11 had their work cut out for them this week choosing songs for the two seemingly incongruous themes, California Dreamin' and "Songs you wish you wrote." Now, the official set list of the May 9 performance show has been revealed, and it's full of some surprising choices.
While there are so few singers left, it's still a little difficult to figure out who's singing what. Jessica Sanchez seems like an Etta James kind of girl, which means Journey and Credence Clearwater Revival are going to Hollie Cavanagh, Joshua Ledet or Phillip Phillips, which could be quite interesting. The "songs you wish you wrote" choices seem a little clear cut, and it appears they'll be dueting by gender again. Take a look at the set list and let us know who you think will sing what!

One of the joys of "American Idol" is that you never really know what the finalists are going to sing until the music starts. Even though we know that this week's themes are Songs by Californians and Songs They Wish They'd Written, it's anyone's guess what the top four will sing.
MTV News "Idol" experts Gil Kaufman and James Montgomery will take a shot at predicting which way Joshua Ledet, Hollie Cavanagh, Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez will go tonight, but in the meantime we caught up with them earlier this week to get a sneak peek at their California dreams.

Rihanna is set to perform her latest single "Where Have You Been" on the big "American Idol" finale when the newest winner of the Fox show is announced on May 23. No word on whether she'll be reenacting her dancing Swamp Thing persona from the song's music video on the "Idol" stage.
But before Rihanna can get her dance on, we've got three more performance shows to get through. The final four -- Hollie Cavanagh, Joshua Ledet, Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez -- perform Wednesday (May 9) during a "California Dreamin'"-themed show, with the field being narrowed to three finalists Thursday night during the live results show.
Before America learns who their final three are, though, "American Idol" judge Jennifer Lopez will perform her hit new single, "Dance Again," and Season 7 "Idol" winner David Cook will sing "The Last Song I'll Write For You."

For the most part, the themes on this season's "American Idol" have been pretty straightforward: Queen, Whitney Houston, Personal Idols, Songs From the Year You Were Born, Songs From the 1980s, More Songs About Buildings and Food (look it up).
But when the final four take the stage Wednesday night (May 9), they'll be tasked with performing two songs in one of the most ambiguous, wide-open themes in the show's history: California Dreamin' (songs by Californians) and Songs I Wish I'd Written.
Considering that the only singer left on the show who might reasonably write his own songs is Phillip Phillips (sample chorus: "Growwwwwl") and that Joshua Ledet has proven...

This week, the theme for the American Idol Top 4 is "California Dreamin'" or "Songs from the Golden State." What does that even mean? For the first time this season, I'm dumbfounded. Maybe I'm still sad about the tragic loss of Skylar Laine from the competition. But seriously, what does it mean? Should I look up musical artists from California (born in California? They have a timeshare in California?) and then go through their song catalogs?
Or is it songs About California? In that case, it could be a lot of Beach Boys and a little Katy Perry/Snoop Dogg. Or maybe it's songs written in California. It could be anything. Well, California needs to get over itself. What about songs from/about Arizona? North Dakota? With such a vast selection, I'm not going to bother with song suggestions. They always pick the wrong ones anyway. Instead, I am going to...

One week after featuring the songs of Queen, "American Idol" producers are shaking things up on Wednesday night's (May 2) show, by, uh ... showcasing British music. Never mind. But that's not all: The top five will also be singing a song from the 1960s too, which makes us wish Elise Testone would've stuck around for another week.
Still, with so many great songs to choose from, chances are someone's gonna have a breakout night. Can Jessica Sanchez reclaim her past glories? Will Josh Ledet burn the house down? And what tune will Hollie Cavanagh sleepwalk through this week?

Welcome back, Gleeks! "Glee" may have been off the air for two months, but back at McKinley High, things haven't changed a bit. Well, except for the fact that Quinn Fabray is now temporarily paralyzed from her car accident.
As for Rachel and Finn's impromptu wedding? It didn't happen. But that's okay because now they can get married in someplace special -- like the pitcher's mound at Wrigley Field. That is, if Finn and Rachel even make it to their wedding. With her eyes set on New York, Rachel's not looking to compromise with her boyfriend, who's currently California dreamin' with Puck.
Back in the choir room, we find out that Quinn's spine was severely compressed in the car accident, meaning that she can't move her feet or legs. But wait!

Although released over a decade apart, Wong Kar-wai's Chungking Express and Andrea Arnold's Fish Tank (one of last year's best films) have a shared emblem for their characters' longings and frustrations: The Mamas and the Papas' song "California Dreamin'," a staple of classic rock stations that has taken on a cultural life of its own.

For those of us who were disappointed in the Season 2 finale, Monday's (Sept. 13) "90210" premiere more than made up for it.
If I had to think of my biggest critique of the series, I would have to say it often stops just short of going there. Tonight's premiere went there and then some.
I'm pretty sure some viewers thought the way the show tied up loose ends from last season, such as the break up of the Wilson family or Annie's (Shenae Grimes) hit-and-run wasn't done too well. And I was sure it would annoy me to have those things wrapped up with dialogue, too. Surprisingly, though, I wasn't mad at "90210" for it.
Let's face it, those storylines were badly handled last season and the faster we got past them in the new season, the better. And it feels so good to move on. Movin' on.
Earthquake a go-go: I loved...

It's more than simple eulogy to suggest that the world lost a bright, emerging talent with the death of writer/director Cristian Nemescu, tragically killed in an automotive accident at the age of just twenty-seven, not long after wrapping this his debut full-length feature. Riding the crest of a so-called new wave Nemescu represented a commercially viable face of Romanian cinema, a vibrant young filmmaker who had the pulse of his generation - mostly teenagers when the Soviet Bloc collapsed, eager for the promise of western liberalism - now disillusioned at seeing their country teeter on the brink of third world status, beached somewhere on the black market shores of corruption.

New waves come and new waves go, but they can also linger on in the careers of filmmakeres as they spiral out and become individuals. The Romanian New Wave that began to break only five or so years ago seems to have already dissipated -- only Corneliu Porumboiu's "Police, Adjective" has emerged in the last two years. Maybe the Romanian vibe itself was just too dire to last, or maybe the economy kneecapped the movement. Perhaps momentum was lost when one of the Wave's most vibrant and commercially orthodox voices, Cristian Nemescu, died in a car wreck in 2006, forever 27, amidst the post-production on his first feature, "California Dreamin'" (2007), which itself has taken three arduous years to finally be made available to American viewers.

Director: Andrea Arnold Writer: Andrea Arnold Starring: Katie Jarvis, Michael Fassbender As an heir apparent to the British social realist tradition of Ken Loach’s working-class dramas, director Andrea Arnold’s Fish Tank is a painfully bleak portrait of modern life on an Essex estate (which, for us Yanks, is a half-step up from the ghetto) – a steely urban wasteland located somewhere near Tilbury. We never witness the protagonist – an aggressive and jaded 15-year-old named Mia (Katie Jarvis) – attend school (apparently she has been expelled and may be going to boarding school next) and she is rarely out of her life’s uniform of choice: hoodie and sweat pants. Mia resides in a dreary non-descript council flat with her mother – more like a slutty, foul-mouthed and foul-tempered older sister – Joanne (Kierston Wareing) and a potty-mouthed, beer drinking and cigarette smoking prepubescent younger sister – Tyler (Rebecca Griffiths). In honor of Valentine's Day, our staff will be sharing some of their favorite romantic scenes all day long.
My favorite romantic scenes are ones that show true openness and vulnerability, even when I've seen them so many times I've practically memorized them: Rick insisting that Ilsa must go (Casablanca), Benjamin rattling the glass and shouting "Elaine! Elaine!" (The Graduate), and Lloyd Dobler holding a boom box over his head (Say Anything...). Those feelings characterize the final scene of Wong Kar-Wai's Chungking Express.
The film tells two stories, both featuring Hong Kong cops dealing with the pangs of love and loss, and the very special ladies that revolve around them. In the second tale, gorgeous Tony Leung Chiu Wai (Aka Cop 663) catches the eye of food stand worker Faye Wong (Aka Faye). It's tough being a teenage girl. Especially when enduring and hopefully, when you can, enjoying, that breakthrough age of 15. A lot happens when you're 15. Though some girls float through adolescence with a winsome (or conceited) confidence -- soaking in and gaining assurance from their protected status as daddy's little princesses; or benefiting from strong, supportive mothers, those not blessed with such luxuries -- and having two parents like that is a luxury; it shouldn't be, but it is -- find themselves stomping and scraping and screaming through youth with a special kind of Napoleon complex that only female teens and Joe Pesci possess.
Teenage girls, from intelligent young lasses rolling their eyes through AP English to those rampaging their way through baby burlesque episodes of Maury Povich, are constantly enduring life's "Get your shine-box" indignities -- even if they can't properly articulate what those indignities are. They just know they don't like them.

Actress Bijou Phillips has blamed her half-sister MacKenzie for ruining her relationship with their father John.
Mackenzie shocked fans by detailing her 10-year sexual affair with The Mamas & The Papas singer in a new memoir, High on Arrival - and she hit headlines last week when she sat down with Oprah Winfrey to talk about the scandal on U.S. TV.
But Bijou, John's youngest child, has admitted Mackenzie told her about the alleged romance years ago - and it had a devastating effect on her teenage years, stripping her of her innocence and leaving her wary of her father.
The 29 year old insists it took her years to repair her relationship with the California Dreamin' hitmaker after hearing about the rape allegations.
In a series of messages posted on her Twitter.com page, Bijou writes, "Exploiting the history of our family and the death of our father John Phillips for the release of a book is disgusting. Allegations of sexual abuse are not only hurtful, but malicious when he is not here to defend himself.
"When I was young my sister told me about this - it ruined my life and my relationship with my father. Up till that point, I was a normal kid. I got good grades, loved my horse, was pretty innocent. I moved out to NYC at 13. Started doing drugs, did not talk to my Dad anymore... I was deeply f**ked up. I'm 29 now, I've talked to everyone who was around during that time, I've asked the hard questions. I do not believe my sister. Our father is many things, this is not one of them. My dad and I made up when I was 20, a year before he died. I'm sad I lost those years with him, and I lost those years at home."
John Phillips died of heart failure in 2001, aged 65.
