Since the movie was filmed in Seattle, I was a little distracted at first by the scenery (I was trying to pick out clubs, locations, etc.), but soon got into the rhythm of the film. The writing is strong. The acting by most of the primary characters is quite good, with the exception of the actress who plays Jessie's girlfriend. The direction was interesting, especially in a three or four minute scene in which the focus is strictly on three people and only three people. (You have to see it to know what I'm talking about. I don't want to give anything away.) The film is definitely darker than what I'm used to, but it gave me a lot to think about as far as choices you make in life and the repercussions those choices can have. While I didn't quite understand the ending of the film, I think that is this is a solid piece of work nonetheless and holds promise for both the film makers and the actors.
