Terrible Crap

I was unfortunate to stumble upon this vile piece of home movie trash on TV links a while back. Intrigued by the title, I clicked on the link and watched about ten minutes of it. It is an immature homemade movie shot by some junior high kids in bad wigs, shot on what appears to be a low-grade video camera. To call this a film is an insult to the medium. To add to the confusion, there was no title sequence, just an unrelated skit depicted what appeared to be a "sneaky uncle". How the makers of this youtube fodder got their film on IMDb.com is a mystery. The producers "Sneaky Uncle should sneak into a film class and learn something about making movies. Truly the for the "Film Anti-Preservation Society".

A cult movie for the masses

'Sneaky Uncle' starts with a bang and never lets you down. From the teasing opening to the heart crushing end, this movie is a low budget gem. Great writing, innovating editing and cinematography, the movie has at times uneven acting but gains viewers with its strong storyline.

It has rhythm, and it's devoid of cliché. Instead, it's sprinkled with little unusual sayings and turns of phrase that really make it feel like this film is taking place in its own unique world.

Sneaky Uncle chronicles the rise and fall of these aspiring rock gods. At first, tensions arise from the fact that the brother McTaggerts are from the town of North Hammond, while the rhythm section is from the rival town of South Hammond. But they overcome this and start playing together, with increasingly better results. These are working class kids, who from the moment we first meet them, are living in a world of constant drug use and brawling. As you'd probably guess, becoming rich and famous doesn't help any.

Very entertaining!!! I can't wait to see what these guys come up with next.
