A group of people meet up at a hotel....

Yes, I know, no prizes for guessing where that story was first thought up, but if you like that kind of story, as I do, then you may just enjoy this episode.

I had completely forgotten about this series, hence the gap between this, and my review for Bright Smiler, I quite liked that, I preferred this.

A terrific cast list, John Castle, Sylvia Sims, and of course the excellent Joanna David.

A nice sense of mystery, a good atmosphere, nicely acted, the music is awful, so intrusive, but my main gripe are the plot holes, things are implied, but not explained, that's frustrating for the viewer.

Overall, I enjoyed it, 7/10.

And Then There Were....Quite A Few

Warning: Spoilers
Five strangers are selected to be the first guests at a remote new hotel. There's a terrible snowstorm outside and the phone line is cut. The owner of the hotel receives an anonymous letter suggesting that the (female) cook working there is actually a convicted ex-killer. Naturally, when one of these people is found murdered, suspicions fall on her. But what's the connection between all these characters?

The second episode in the "Time For Murder" series is both more complex (in its plot) and more shallow (in its characters) in comparison to the first. The setting is atmospheric, the story is decent, but the execution is a bit plodding. Trivia note: both Joanna David and John Castle starred in Joan Hickson Marple films - David also did an episode of "The Agatha Christie Hour"! ** out of 4.
