This is a very well made film about a man who has talked about his dream of making a movie for years and finally does it. In his journey he ends up making his whole life better by forging a better relationship with his son and helping his son deal with the loss of his mother. Typically, things get worse before they get better, but by the end you leave this film feeling uplifted. There are some very comic parts where he has to wade through outrageous ideas in search of the ideal screenplay and even the final screenplay gets adapted to incorporate parts of the main character's own life. Humorous and touching, this is a film that most people will find parallels with in their own lives.
