B-movies
JesusChristTheSecond13 February 2006
I am really sorry but this movie does not deserves the honour of being a b-movie. The essence of b-movies is concentrated on Kill Bill. "The sentinels" is just a poor production. But, because it is a poor production we can not assume that its a b-movie.In this case every cheap production has to became a classic as time goes by... No sir. This is a movie,if I can call it one, that has poor script, poor acting, poor directing, poor photography etc. I am Greek and this movie is a shame for my country. And believe me, I like b-movies,I like European productions, I like a directors try to make a movie without money...but but but... I am sorry,I already think I am wasting my time commenting on this movie. I would have rate it with a 0 if there was one.

This is an exemplary Bad Movie

Regardless what version of the movie you have, it is a very good example for every film-related student on what-you-should-not-do-in-a- movie; if you are not one, I'm sure you can waste your time in a better way. The storyline is chaotic if it even exists; acting and directing? simply nonexistent; editing? I'm sure the editor did the best he could having in mind that there is no actual story; Photography? over-saturated high contrast video (I have seen the original master); special effects? the movie exists just to surround these FX (if you are into FX you may watch the trailers and you don't need to waste your time on the rest of the movie).

Vampires, killers, hunted books. A B-Movie.
Phlegyas2 September 2002
I just noticed the movie is a 2002 production. If you watch the movie you will get the impression it was filmed around the late 80's.

A low budget production where you start at the begining and when you reach the end you have no idea what it is you just watched. Still it's one of those cult movies with Eileen Daly. An instant classic if you like nonsense movies. I loved it. If you are not one of those guys though, turn your attention to something that resembles a movie a little more. Something like Finding Forrester. This one will let you down for sure. Vampires, hired guns, a family, some guy reading a book, the book ... Really I didnt get much of the movie. Still, movies like that do not exist for their moral teachings. They are simply there to praise the league of B-Movies. Honestly, if I werent a die hard fan of B-Movies this one here would have never gotten anything greater than '1'. (by the way, where is Nena in the film? I have difficulty noticing her anywhere in the movie)

Very excited for this film

I haven't been able to find the DVD for this movie anywhere. Does anyone know where to look? I watched the trailers on the website, but never saw anything more about it.

The special effects look great for a movie that obviously had about a 25,000$ budget.

I've found the big studio vampire movies of the past 10 years to be so offensively bad that I'm turning to small budget in the hope that they can save the genre. I mean, if one more movie has the gall to dig up Dracula because they're too lazy to invent a villain, and then simply kills him quickly- I think I'll scream.
