I love this program since it delves deeply into the Northwest Coast people's important uses of their masks. I love how detailed the explanations for the history of the masks and why they are used in their potlatches and other ceremonies. Mr. Davis's narrating was nicely detailed. However, towards the end there with that group of females who wore masks during their meetings: I found them to be performing pseudo-dances. What were those dances exactly and who were they supposed to be relating to?? They obviously weren't Indigenous Californian dances by any means so who were they supposed to represent?? Masks are not to be taken lightly in that by wearing one, the wearer actually becomes the entity they are portraying. But those those ladies were wearing things that didn't represent anything meaningful. Anyways, this program deserves a 9 out of 10.
