The best documentary film about the history of Argentina Circus/Theater. Well produced, directed, with an excellent photography and music. "La Historia En La Arena" tells us about the particular story of gaucho circus with all its myths and social historic implications, where folk dances and songs converge. There is even a sequence showing a dramatic performance in its barbarian, spontaneous and special way played by the last company cultivating the genre traveling around the pampas It is the first time this subject is filmed. As a tribute to the pioneers, notorious actors from theater, cinema and TV narrates the film. They are: Hector Alterio (star of "The Official Story and Camilla "), Alfredo Alcon (favorite actor of director Leopoldo Torre Nilsson), Pepe Soriano (star of "La Patagonia Rebelde ") and China Zorrilla (Uruguayan actress of international prestige). The film narrative is not only documentary, because there are recreations of "Juan Moreira ", mythical literature character, "Pepino 88 "first South American clown, and 3 acrobats children, representing the famous circus family, The Podesta. The original music of the film was composed and played by M.P.A. (Popular Argentinean Musicians): Chango Farias Gomez Veronica Condomi, Mono Izurralde and Luis Gurevich. The film is dedicated to Hugo del Carril, actor, singer and film director.
