Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu thi comes with some amount of criticism from a meagre, Unsensitive Populace always. On the contrary let me clarify that a TV show that has have international acclaim in USA, UK, Australia and more Precisely our neighbours like Pakistan keeping their eyes glued to T,V sets at 10:30 PM ON STAR PLUS is a sufficient reason to believe how big, Magnamious and popular the TV show had been. In the end of 20th century , Indian TV scenario was not that big and popular in terms of new content. ZEE TV ruling the roost used to make serials similar to Hindi movies of 90's. But Balaji Telefilms launched Kyunki on 3rd July 2000 which change the fortunes of the channel. One of the big misconceptions was that it was a female oriented show, but the fact is that from a five year old to a 80+ old man went along the journey of Tulsi-the protagonist. Atal behari vajpayee counts it as his favourite show till date. It is a show that talks about the cultures v/s emotions in family system and acts as a reflection of mother in law- daughter in law relationships. It received constant support from its viewers over the years and the moment people it was time for a change the show was stopped. But running a serial for 8 years is a big thing which would never be possible without public support. More than awards and acclaim it has received world wide, the best part is that Indian festivals, traditions, family values have been transmitted and applauded globally. School children, house wives, college studs, gals and husbands after tiring office work returning home and all had the same optimism to watch a show with so much of love and interest and wait excitedly for the next episode..it gave a reason for many to be happy after a rigorous work through day. Such is the impact of Kyunki. Being the highest grosser, it gave stiff competition to even prime time news channels like AAj tak, NDTV.The show has made India proud globally. Taking into account that serials running long tend to get predictable, clichéd, stereotyped..but despite all the little adversities the show had it can be neglected that some of the brilliant screenplay, acting, Editing has been awesome in the history of entertainment media business. Smriti Irani, Apara Mehta brought the characters as real to the viewers.. Despite all the negativity, let me say that the serials has given us moments from the past to cherish. Those nights of 2000's when watching Kyunki, and KBC, kahani ghar ghar ki used to be as important as other things..do think about it...Balaji telefilms rocks.. this show deserves at least 8.5 out of 10.
