- A group of gangsters shoot all the residents of a town. Dozens of people are shot. A particularly disturbing aspect is a woman tells the men to shoot another woman's children (including a baby) and force the mother to watch; the men shoot the children and the baby whilst the mother screams and cries. Whilst none of the violence in this scene is very graphic and contains no blood, it is very brutal and disturbing.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- After the failed escape from Dogville the major character is chained to a heavy wheel with a tight iron collar and a bell around her neck like a dog slave, not with a clamp around her ankle like human slaves or prisoners and not with a flexible leather collar used for dogs which makes it and the following abuse even more humiliating and disturbing.
