A Great Series
timkress4 June 2006
I recently discovered DVD releases of The American Short Story Collection thanks to the good taste of the librarians at my local library. These stories are simply done, quiet, and provide ample opportunity for viewer reflection on the themes. This is almost extinct in today's productions. The Eighties were not just about high hair. Some great, lost work was done during that decade.

This story is about taking the risk of standing up for oneself in a relationship and the sometimes wonderful results of doing so. Madigan and Sanders play off one another beautifully. The production was filmed in Corain, Massachusetts. This is a beautiful hill town that is a perfect location for this kind of story. I recommend this lost gem.
