Sex & Nudity

  • Several songs on the collection feature suggestive lyrics.
  • "Venus as a Boy" shows Bjork getting aroused while making breakfast, as a reference to her favorite book "The Story of the Eye."
  • "I Miss You" features some sexual imagery, though it is almost all completely animated. There is a brief moment where an animated Bjork is shown in the bath with suds covering her breasts and lower torso. Towards the end of the video, Bjork (not animated) is seen topless, but her breasts are replaced by two computer animated bouncing condoms.

Violence & Gore

  • A large moth gets electrocuted to death in "Human Behavior." In the same video, Bjork gets eaten by a giant teddy bear, and she is shown inside of it.
  • "Hyperballad" includes lyrics about Bjork throwing herself off of a cliff and slamming into the rocks below.
  • "I Miss You" features a lot of cartoon violence, like a scorpion pulling Bjork's eye out, Bjork getting ripped apart by piranhas, and a very brief shot at the end of Bjork ripping a chicken in half. All of this is animated.

Profanity

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • People are shown casually drinking and smoking in the "Play Dead" video.
