  [he fires the gun and nothing happens] 

  Slate : [Slate takes the gun and fires around him, as Lancaster falls to the floor]  Just like a human, they always faint before you can kill them.

• Os : [after just having psychically told them that Slate will destroy the world]  Unless you stop him.

  Slate : So nice of you to come, Os. Look at yourself! What are you doing surrounding yourself with these human weirdos?

  Ray Jackson : Hey, man, I resent that!

  Os : Slate, the Saviors of the World. Saviors of the World, this is Slate. Hi, guys.

• Slate : [as Slate temps them in their dreams]  He's weak.

  Os : That's not weakness. I wish you would trust me on this. Would that be so bad?

  Slate : 'Would that be so bad?' Would it be so bad if I killed one of them?

  Os : Don't.

• Slate : Give me the tablet and I'll let them live.

  Os : OK.

  [Slate tries to take the tablet and is zapped, Os to the humans] 

  Os : Do you see? Do you see what you're capable of together? It's fantastic, isn't it?
