There is no sex and no nudity in this film at all. There is sexual tension between a brother and sister. That is as far as it goes.
There is a graphic battle at the beginning as well as blood-spurting arena battles. All these sequences include many briefly flashes of gory wounding and killing.A woman and her child are tortured and crucified, but all that is shown is the child being run over by a horse and later the two corpses--one burned and the other's dangling feet are shown.Characters are beheaded in combat but graphic details usually flash by in quick cuts.A character is cut in half by blades on a chariot's wheel.Many characters are stabbed with swords, knives and spears.Some accentuated blood splatter for cinematic effect.A character stabs a tiger with a sword, but surprisingly no blood is shown.A man cuts at his arm in an attempt to get rid of a tattoo which denotes that he is a soldier.
The S-word is used once. There are a few insults that some might find offensive.

There are many intense, violent gladiatorial fights throughout including a large-scale battle that opens the movie.
