While Led Zeppelin is one of the greatest rock n’ roll bands ever, it would be hard to tell by looking at the charts. The main reason is that the band rarely released any singles as they wanted the focus to be on their albums. It cost them a chance at a No. 1 hit, but it didn’t seem like they cared.
Led Zeppelin never had a song reach No. 1 on the charts Led Zeppelin | Dick Barnatt/Redferns
Led Zeppelin has many memorable songs like “Stairway to Heaven”, “When the Levee Breaks”, and “Kashmir”. However, none of these songs charted well because the band rarely released singles. This most likely drove their record company, Atlantic Records, crazy, as the band’s singles would have sold tremendously well.
They did release 10 singles in the U.S., but none of them ever reached No. 1. A few of these include “Immigrant Song”, which peaked at No.

Led Zeppelin churned out songs at a furious pace early in their career. Even bassist John Paul Jones was impressed by their work ethic, and he cut his teeth as an in-demand session player working six or seven days a week before joining the band. Zep’s pace eventually slowed down, but they recorded dozens of songs in their career. We’re listing all 86 Led Zeppelin songs in alphabetical order, noting the albums they appeared on, their length, and notes on each one.
Note: Led Zeppelin made eight studio albums before breaking up, but we’re including completed songs (not reference mixes or rough cuts) from the posthumous 1982 album Coda, the 1990 box set, Coda’s 2015 expanded reissue, and one BBC Sessions recording since the band made those tunes while still together.

Led Zeppelin stormed onto the music scene in 1969 and soon became classic rock legends. There are some aesthetically similar bands Zep fans should listen to, but nothing comes close to the real thing. Yet the band wasn’t infallible. It’s one of their finest works, but the 1975 double album Physical Graffiti contains some duds. Let’s look at the four worst songs Led Zeppelin put on Physical Graffiti.

Before we cover the worst Physical Graffiti songs, we need to mention that the record has some of Led Zeppelin’s best songs.
Side 2 closer “Kashmir” is the band’s definitive song, according to both Robert Plant and Jimmy Page. It might be one of the most diverse Led Zeppelin albums, too.

If The Beatles dominated the 1960s, then Led Zeppelin ruled the 1970s. England’s musical tastes started changing in late 1969. That’s when Zep knocked The Beatles out of the No. 1 spot on the charts with their second album. The Fab Four’s breakup cleared the way for other bands to grab the spotlight. Led Zeppelin copied a page from The Beatles’ playbook to do just that.

Things happened fast for Led Zeppelin. Jimmy Page quickly recruited Robert Plant, John Bonham, and John Paul Jones to form a new band when the Yardbirds disintegrated in June 1968. Led Zeppelin recorded its first album and started touring before the year finished.
Page had a plan for Led Zeppelin I, which landed in January 1969 — capture listeners’ attention right away. The band did,...

Led Zeppelin wouldn’t have been the same band if any one of the four members were different. That includes singer Robert Plant. Though the least musically gifted of the four — he didn’t dare play guitar for much of the 1970s — his powerful voice brought something special to Led Zeppelin’s songs. The band almost lost that talent — twice. One car accident left the singer in a wheelchair. Another Plant car crash could have derailed the band years earlier.

Jesse Malin pays tribute to his late friend and bandmate Todd Youth in the new music video for the song of the same name, filmed in New York during the coronavirus pandemic.
Youth was a pioneering guitarist in the New York hardcore scene, performing with Murphy’s Law, Agnostic Front, Warzone, Glen Campbell, Danzig, H.R., Ace Frehley, Motörhead, Cheap Trick and with Malin in the Saint Mark’s Social and D Generation. When he died in 2018, his ashes were placed beneath the Hare Krishna Tree in the East Village’s Tompkins Square Park.

After uncovering what "The Secret Garden" actress Kate Maberly is up to today, it got us wondering whatever happened to the little girl in the film "A Little Princess."
Based on the classic 1905 novel of the same name by Frances Hodgson Burnett, the 1995 film starred Liesel Pritzker as Sarah Crewe; a wealthy young girl who becomes a servant at her boarding school when her father goes missing and is presumed dead.
Pritzker took on the stage name Liesel Matthews for the film, and the classic story remains her biggest role to date as she went on to appear in just two other projects -- the 1997 movie "Air Force One," and "Blast," which was released in 2000.
Though she's left the entertainment industry, Liesel has kept busy. She's an heiress to the Hyatt Hotel fortune and in 2002 while still a student at Columbia University, she filed a $6 billion lawsuit against her father...

"Get off my plane!" Just reading that sentence, you can hear Harrison Ford barking the famous catchphrase at Gary Oldman during a climactic sequence in "Air Force One." It's a familiar line, since we've all seen the classic 1997 thriller about a president (Ford) thwarting the Russian terrorist (Oldman) who's hijacked the flying White House. Still, there's probably plenty you don't know about the movie (which opened 15 years ago, on July 25, 1997), including how accurate it is (and isn't), how the filmmakers got access to the real Air Force One, the battle over the film's instrumental score, and the financial windfall that made one cast member the richest star by far (it's not who you think). Read on for the plane (get it?) truth behind the movie. 1. "Air Force One" was actually director Wolfgang Petersen's second movie in four years about a president whose life is threatened; it followed the German-born...
