Originally set to be a feature film, it was announced last year that Marvel is instead bringing The Inhumans to television. Before that, though, the first two episodes will premiere on IMAX screens across the world, and a lot of money is being spent on the eight-part series to ensure it has cinema-quality special effects and does the Inhuman royal family justice.
Well, looking to kick things off in style, Marvel has hired filmmaker Roel Reine to take the helm of the first two instalments of The Inhumans. Born in the Netherlands, his first feature The Delivery won the Golden Calf (the Dutch equivalent to an Academy Award) for Best Director. His 2015 movie Admiral also had a very successful theatrical release worldwide.
Roel directed his first American television series Black Sails for Michael Bay and Starz.

According to Marvel Television, Roel Reine ("The Delivery") will direct the first two episodes of "Marvel's The Inhumans" TV series, based on the Marvel Comics' superhero characters:
The first two episodes will screen on IMAX for two weeks ahead of the fall premiere, produced by Marvel TV and ABC Studios and filmed with Imax digital cameras.
"This unprecedented alliance represents a bold, innovative approach to launching great TV content for a worldwide audience," said Ben Sherwood, co-chairman, Disney Media Networks and president, Disney-abc Television Group. "It highlights Disney-abc’s unrelenting commitment to finding new and creative ways to showcasing our very best programming and increasing global engagement and reach."
"The Inhumans" created by Stan Lee and illustrator/co-plotter Jack Kirby, first appeared in Marvel Comics' "Fantastic Four" #45 (December 1965). Their home, the city of 'Attilan' is credited to Kirby from his "Tuk the Caveboy" story in "Captain America Comics...

Marvel has confirmed today that the director of movies like Admiral and The Delivery will be in charge of the first two episodes, both of which premiere on IMAX screens before extended versions are then aired on ABC. Marvel’s The Inhumans will...

First breaking into composing for film by providing the score for 2001’s The Delivery, DJ Junkie Xl (also known as Tom Holkenborg, and best know for his remix of Elvis’ A Little Less Conversation) has gone to make quite a name for himself in the film world, providing music for Domnio, Blade, 300: Rise of an Empire, Divergent, Run All Night, as well as working with Hans Zimmer on Megamind, Inception, Madagascar 3, The Dark Knight Rises, and Man of Steel (they will once again collaborate on next year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice). He also provided one of the soundtracks of the Summer with his amazing score for Mad Max: Fury Road (seriously, play that in a car, and you’ll swear you're driving an armoured big rig through a post apocalyptic desert), so you better believe there were many fists pumped in the air when he announced...
