Since the beliefs that parents want to instill in their children can vary greatly, we ask that instead of adding your personal opinions about what is right or wrong in a film, that you instead use this feature to help parents make informed viewing decisions by describing the facts of relevant scenes in the title for each one of the different categories: Sex and Nudity, Violence and Gore, Profanity, Alcohol/Drugs/Smoking, and Frightening/Intense Scenes.
Visit our Parents Guide Help to learn more

Sex & Nudity

A man says "have you ever looked at a woman's tits?"

Violence & Gore

A man is briefly seen dead, laying on the ground, with a bloody bullet wound in his back.

Profanity

35 uses of "fuck". Some other, milder profanities.

Some characters are seen casually drinking alcoholic beverages.

This is an excellent film about Jeffrey Wigand, the tobacco-industry whistleblower whose testimony and interview with 60 Minutes ultimately led to the Master Settlement Agreement in 1998. The film included three brief scenes in which background extras were seen smoking outside. Unfortunately, this film focusing on the negative depiction of tobacco and the tobacco industry included a Kool sign in one scene, an unecessary touch for such an anti-tobacco film. Using a standardized scoring system, this film received a smoking rating of 1 Butt (on a scale of 0-4 Butts). For more information on the impact of onscreen smoking and the initiation of youth tobacco use, or for more information on the rating system, visit www.smokescreeners.org.

Nothing really frightening or intense, but a girl has difficulty breathing in the beginning of the movie and her parents rush to help her.
