Routine western enlivened by female lead
malcolmgsw26 February 2011
This is a routine B western in every way but one and that is the female lead. The story is very familiar, ruthless businessman trying to take over a gold mine by fair means or foul. However i have to say that the film is constantly enlivened by the female lead, who it appears only made 5 film appearances and died aged 92 in 2006.She is a pretty girl but not to put to fine a point on it she is not wearing underwear. So that whenever she is on a horse or running there is a lot of her in motion.Maybe she ,as a blonde decided to follow the example of Jean Harlow. This film has all the usual ingredients of B westerns and i am sure that it is of interest only to enthusiasts of this particular genre.
