Sex & Nudity

  • In the opium den, a Chinese man is shown looking lustfully at a white woman who has fallen asleep.
  • The doctor fights with a woman who is clearly a prostitute, rips her dress off and throws her on the bed. She is still wearing underwear. The fight occurs in what is clearly a 'crib' in a brothel. And the fight is intercut with shots of other women listening from the doorways of their cribs.
  • A girl lifts up her skirt to expose her legs saying "Look what I got. Next to nature." She raises the skirt a little and says "Are you following me?" A man responds "Following you? I'm way ahead of you!"

  • Characters at a party tell various bawdy jokes.
  • The the doctor fights with the prostitute he calls her a "trollop."

  • Narcotic deals pervasively with drug use and drug addiction.

  • A car crashes into a large vegetable cart but no detail is shown. We are told by other characters that a pregnant woman was involved in the crash.
  • The birth of a baby is shown. This piece of stock footage is extremely graphic.
  • A taxi cab is shown driving head on into an approaching train. The train slows to a stop, pushing the battered automobile forward, but no gore is scene. Passengers and crew from the train crowd around the wrecked car.
