In an elite special forces unit, some of the men spend their off-hours selling themselves as gigolos in the red light district. It's an interesting premise which leads to a court-martial type climax but don't expect A Few Good Men. Though there are some solid, dramatic scenes, the characters are underdeveloped so that neither the gay themes nor military world are fully explored. Some scenes appear intended merely to shock viewers such as the vicious attack on Gianni (Kretschmann) in the showers. The nude scene seems more suited to a prison movie than a military drama. Gianni is definitely one of the underwritten characters. I just didn't believe he would risk his position to sell himself to men or that he so quickly falls for the new recruit.
This is an Italian movie which means it's dubbed (even the Italian actors got dubbed). If you're bothered by dialogue not matching the actors' mouths, then you will definitely notice it here. The DVD from France has no subtitles of any kind, so you need at least some rudimentary Italian or French.
