Was extra on this one!

Warning: Spoilers
I worked on the set of this production as an extra at the Pallace of Justice in Pretoria, South Africa. It is about the life of Daisy de Melker who was a serial husband killer and also (if I remember correctly) killed her son at a later date. She was neglected and used by men and later turned on them as a breed.

This movie does however balance the person of Daisy with the justice she needed and the indifference of those who rightly or perhaps not so rightly condemned her to death.

Fine TV production with a stellar South African cast.

The cast is one of what can be considered the A list of South African actors. Acting in South Africa is not a business where there is a lot of money and these guys do it mostly for the love of the art. A few do make it big though and the big ones show off in this period TV production set at the palace of justice in Church street Pretoria, South Africa. It does switch to scenes from Daisy's life prior to getting caught, pushed through the justice system and her condemnation and final punishment.

I went down to the cell where she was kept during her court case years and years ago. Her writing is literally still on the walls there...

Chilling stuff...
