Mama June got the skin removal surgery she thought she wanted on Friday's episode of From Not to Hot, but it turns out, recovery is a lot harder than she expected.
Last week's episode of the We tv series saw June's manager, Gina, cancel her tummy tuck and breast lift after she failed to get down to the 190 pounds her doctor required for the surgery, but the move might have been the reality check she needed to stop stress eating and get back in shape.

Dr. Morales finally stepped out of his examination room and took center stage on Major Crimes Season 5 Episode 17.
The doctor has been quirky, strange, and an integral part of each investigation for years, but I don't remember him ever having his own story before.
Not only did he get a storyline, but he also got a visiting father who was wiser to his son's strange ways than he let on.
It was certainly different and interesting, though I hope he goes back to his usual role after this.
Quirky medical examiners are stock characters not only on Major Crimes but on many crime dramas, so it was nice to see the trope turned on its head by fleshing out Morales' character and giving him a very human story, even if it was kind of silly.
I have to admit I've never really thought very much about this character. The Major Crimes...

For more than 35 years, the names Bela and Martha Karolyi have been synonymous with elite American gymnastics. The duo — who defected from Romania in 1981 — have coached legends from Mary Lou Retton to Kerri Strug, and Martha oversaw both the 2012 and 2016 gold-medal winning teams.
Young gymnasts dreaming of Olympic gold knew there was only one place to go if they wanted to earn their place on the Olympic team: Karolyis Camp.
The secluded ranch in the Sam Houston National Forest is now under scrutiny as several former gymnasts have come forward to allege that former team doctor Larry Nassar sexually abused them on the property.

You know you are in trouble when the funniest part of a movie is Madea’s discussion of her retirement account. (She calls it her “Ho-01K” account, because she couldn’t open a 401K due to her illegal income.) Yes, it might finally be time to pull the plug on Madea, the strong-willed former stripper who just so happens to be everybody’s wacky aunt.

October is one of our favourite months of the year, because we can start wearing sweaters, leaves are falling, and we can justify horror movie marathons all month long.
In theatres, however, we are getting a very interesting mix of thrills, scares, laughs, and some indie gems that caught our eye when they played the Toronto International Film Festival last month. That’s right, awards season is on the verge of beginning, and October features a couple of those highly buzzed titles. Among these are Moonlight and The Birth of a Nation, as well as some good old fun at the movies, like Tom Cruise returning as Jack Reacher, or Tom Hanks’ reprisal of Robert Langdon in Inferno.

Like the wide white lapels of Cookie’s Chanel-plaid jumpsuit, it’s the “Are you kidding me?” details that make Empire so ridiculously delicious.
A hard-charging prosecutor shows up to court with a La Perla bra pushing her cleavage higher than a Patti Labelle glory note. Pre-credit sequence. It's Night 35 and the Top 5 castaways return to camp. Carolyn is giddy. Mike is incredulous. Rodney is offended that Carolyn didn't tell him about the Idol, which is funny since Carolyn's offended that Rodney voted for her. They agree that without Idols or advantages remaining, everybody wants Mike out, which is especially funny since Mike was the only person to support Carolyn at the previous Tribal. But loyalty doesn't go very far when you're this deep into "Survivor." Mother-Lover. Tonight's Reward is an individual challenge and it's really only worthwhile if Rodney loses. No Rewards for Rodney! It's a complicated challenge involving tiles, a number puzzle, shuffle board and other stuff. Wanna know what they're playing for? Love! Carolyn's husband comes out and she cries. It's a fairy tale marriage. Everybody cries. Mike's mom comes out and he cries. It's a fairy tale mother-son relationship.

They say all men are created equal, but luckily for us, all women are not.
In a world where “the girl next door” rules over all female archetypes, there is a common phrase used to describe women who don’t fall into the same category as leading ladies such as Grease’s Sandy, The Rocky Horror Picture Show’s Janet Weiss, or The Notebook’s Allie Hamilton. These women are often described as “girls you wouldn’t take home to meet Mom.”
This phrase describes a variety of women, and in film those women that you wouldn’t bring home for the holidays would include the over-sexed, the over-indulgent, the mentally unbalanced and deranged, or the socially inept/awkward. Just because these aren’t the types of girls that you’d typically see sharing a pot of Folgers with your mother in the morning doesn’t necessarily mean they aren’t your type of woman.

Just as quickly as Afflicted redefined the “found footage” horror subgenre, SX_Tape came along and proved there are still Plenty of opportunities for filmmakers to exploit first-person horror normalities. One day there’s a bright hope, the next there’s a disgusting reminder that for every original idea, someone else will rehash the past few years of duds for their own ill-conceived shitfest. I want to remain positive, happily accepting an advancement in “found footage” horror – but it takes a certain type of awful to make me hate a movie in which our lead, possessed character jumps up and down screaming “Let Me Suck Your Dick!” To think some inexperienced filmmaker could just waltz into stardom with such a – wait, this was directed by Bernard Rose of Candyman fame? Oh boy, where’s Tony Todd when you need him?

Lil Poopy is hitting butts and taking names. Well, sort of. The rapper, who was discovered on YouTube, tweeted that he “don’t sweat it,” when referring to those who are talking bad about his music video and his father, who got slapped with child abuse and neglect charges for letting his son rap about drugs and violence and hit a woman’s backside in his new video. Then, he took a stab at Justin Bieber.
Poopy Reacts To The Haters
“Coke Boy” is how Lil Poopy often refers to himself, but his real name is Luie Rivera Jr.

Lil Poopy is just another booty-slappin’, bad mouthin’ rapper — except for the fact that he is only nine years old, and his dad happens to be getting charged with child abuse because of his scandalous music video! Watch the shocking video.
With YouTube, everyone can be a rapper and become a hit, but that doesn’t always mean that they should! Pint-sized rapper Lil Poopy, 9, can be seen hitting a young lady’s derriere and rapping about guns and drugs — and his dad Luis Rivera happens to think it’s just fine. But Massachusetts police think otherwise, and filed a complaint with child welfare.
Lil Poopy (real name is Luie Rivera Jr.) signed with rapper French Montana, and lives with his family in Massachusetts. Lil Poopy’s dad Luis is being charged with child abuse and neglect, but Luis thinks what his son is doing is completely okay and likens...

Jodie Foster collected the Cecil B DeMille award at this year's Golden Globes. Here is the full transcript of her speech
Well, for all of you SNL fans, I'm 50! I'm 50! You know, I need to do that without this dress on, but you know, maybe later at Trader Vic's, boys and girls. What do you say? I'm 50! You know, I was going to bring my walker tonight but it just didn't go with the cleavage.
Robert [Downey Jr], I want to thank you for everything: for your bat-crazed, rapid-fire brain, the sweet intro. I love you and Susan and I am so grateful that you continually talk me off the ledge when I go on and foam at the mouth and say, "I'm done with acting, I'm done with acting, I'm really done, I'm done, I'm done."
Trust me, 47 years in the film business is a long time. You just ask those Golden Globies,...

Did Jodie Foster publicly come out for the first time at the Golden Globes?
While accepting the Cecil B. DeMille award at the show, she feigned as if she was going to make a public disclosure about her personal life. (Full transcript below.) But then…
“While I’m here being all confessional, I just have the sudden urge to say something I’ve never been able to say in public. A declaration that I’m a little nervous about. Not quite as nervous as my publicist, huh, Jennifer? But uh, you know, I’m just going to put it out there.

This is "The Voice" ... well, almost!
Kelly Ripa and Michael Strahan hosted "Live's" annual Halloween party a little late today, Nov. 5., after Hurricane Sandy delayed the spooky holiday celebrations. But the festivities were amazing as ever as the hosts had over 40 wardrobe changes!
Not only did Ripa and Strahan dress up as "The Voice" mentors Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green, but they swapped costumes multiple times throughout the show, portraying some of 2012's pop culture "icons."
Ripa dressed up as "American Idol" judge Nicki Minaj, new mom Snooki, "Call Me Maybe" singer Carly Rae Jepsen, Honey Boo Boo, "Long Island Medium" star Theresa Caputo and even the Tanning Mom.
In the meantime, Strahan went as "Idol's" Randy Jackson, Oprah Winfrey, Madea, Tyler Perry and President Obama. Too funny!
Check out Ripa's Aguilera costume below and see more photos here.

Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise were out for dinner at NYC’s Mr. Chow on Saturday night, when they encountered the most awkward of situations, per the New York Post: Three people were seated next to them wearing a “Free Katie” shirt, a “Save Suri” shirt and a Top Gun-era Tom Cruise costume. An onlooker said that Katie didn’t “lose her cool” and the T-shirt wearers covered up their clever slogans before Suri could see.
Let this serve as a warning for all of you clever revelers tomorrow night — and we ourselves are included, as we’ve been fully advocating celebrity costumes since last week — you might want to avoid star-frequented hot spots in L.A. and New York (assuming any are up and running tomorrow), if you plan on spoofing someone famous. Option 2: Embrace the awkwardness, pose for a photo with the celeb in question and Send It To Us!

Welcome to the surprise ninth episode of The Real L Word, Season 3. Some of you thought the season was over last week, eh? Ha ha! Psych! This is kind of like the kitchen scene in Gremlins. You think you’ve disposed of all the pesky critters, but then you turn around and there’s one more standing right behind you wearing a shit eating grin.
“O hai! Can you give me directions to 559 Lorimer Street?”
Time to microwave this sucker! Yeee haw!
So, let’s honor all the Gremlins that we encountered in the last eight weeks. Over the course of the season:
- Lauren and Amanda were introduced as “friends with benefits,” but by midseason we clued in and were all “Stop trying to make ‘Lamanda’ happen. It’s not going to happen!” What did happen was a romance between Kiyomi and Lauren,...

Flashback to 1997, The Oval Office. Elaine looks like a mousy First Lady, not Secretary of State. Bud is President and one of his affairs is being exposed. Elaine hurls a blue 17th Century "Ching" Dynasty vase at Bud. He notes it was a gift from Mao to Nixon, now it joins those two as a piece of dust.

It's a stormy night in Rosewood five months after we left the "Pretty Little Liars" in a pretty rough spot -- Mona had been revealed as A and almost died, but wound up in a padded room; Maya died; Garrett got busted; and Spencer actually had the nicest dress at the Masquerade Ball.
Some things haven't changed since we last saw the Liars: Rihanna's "S & M" is still popular, the Hastings house is just as dark and supervision-less as ever and Aria is still wearing the most heinous ensemble. But both she and Hanna have cropped their hair to match their tops and apparently, Emily's been boozing up a storm in between building houses in Haiti to cope with the aftermath of Season 2.
The girls cheers to making it to senior year, which is an opportunity for us to finally know how old they are and to remind us all...

"The most unique thing about Paisley," intones an announcer at the New York's Darling Divas pageant, "is that she's 37 inches tall and her hair is 22 inches long."
Technically, that's not true. Much more interesting is the fact that her mother, Wendy Dickey, remains unapologetic about dressing Paisley -- now three-years-old -- up as a pint-sized prosti-tot in an ode to Julia Roberts' "Pretty Woman" character.
"She would not be as well known if it were not for that outfit," says Dickey as we're reintroduced to Paisley and the absolute mind-blowing experience that is "Toddlers & Tiaras," back for its fifth season on TLC.
Paisley now has a brand manager and a stylist who is helping the kindergartener cultivate a "more New York look." Mom is still the final word in on-stage gear, though, and she does her best to keep up her streak by dolling little Paisley up ala Lady Gaga,...

Jane's Take Episode 7: "Immortal Sins" by Jane Espenson
Warning: Lots of spoilers ahead.
This week's episode is one of mine – the last of the three I penned as a solo effort. This one may be my favorite of the three. I love a flashback and I love a roadtrip and this is both. This is an episode with a lot of talking and a bit of romance and a hint of the kind of Torchwood activities that were featured in the show in its earlier seasons.
We start in a beautiful recreation of Ellis Island in 1927 – look at the gorgeous costume work here by Shawna Trpcic. I had to do some research for this whole part – this is a little later in the history of Ellis Island than you usually see depicted in drama. The system changed in 1924, so it was no longer a chaotic open door, but it was still there,...

If you have Netflix and are a horror fan in need of something to watch this Labor Day weekend, one look at this gargantuan list I compiled of the new terror titles Netflix has added for instant streaming in just the first three days of this month should keep you busy until Labor Day next year. You'll find something for everyone, from older titles to recent releases, famous to obscure, classic to not-so-classic, monsters to maniacs - you name it.
For the record, I considered compiling this list in alphabetical order or by year of the film's release, but then I realized I had already spent well over an hour just sorting through the massive catalogue of titles Netflix has now made available for instant streaming and realized Labor Day would be over by the time I finished arranging this list in any kind of order. Ready? Here you go.
