Zorro and Expats are the big shows coming to Prime Video in January. The former is what Amazon are calling a “bold reinterpretation” of the classic hero El Zorro for 2024. Starring Miguel Bernardeau as Diego de la Vega and Renata Notni as Lolita Marquez, it’s definitely an intriguing-sounding action-adventure series, with a ten-episode first season based on the iconic character originally created by Johnston McCulley all the way back in 1919.
Meanwhile, upcoming drama series Expats is based on the bestselling 2016 novel The Expatriates by Janice Y. K. Lee, and follows “the vibrant lives of a close-knit expatriate community” in Hong Kong. Nicole Kidman has been known for picking the right kind of shows to lead in the past, so let’s hope this is another banger for the actress, who is also on board as an executive producer here.

The original Max series “Full Circle” debuts on July 13. Directed by Steven Soderbergh, the new drama investigates a kidnapping gone wrong in New York, revealing the secrets and lies of multiple characters. Or as the trailer warns: “Everything is connected.” The six-episode limited series stars Zazie Beetz, Claire Danes, Jim Gaffigan, Jharrel Jerome, Timothy Olyphant, and Dennis Quaid.
Watch the “Full Circle” trailer:
The four-part documentary “Last Call: When A Serial Killer Stalked Queer New York” is set in the early 1990s as the AIDS crisis worsens. The media’s distorted coverage of the gay victims, coupled with the homophobic biases of the criminal justice system, undermine the investigation. The docuseries — which premieres on Max on July 9 — illustrates how the LGBTQ+ community fought to solve the murders and demand attention for those murdered.

You don't need a pair of jeans to prove that there's something special between Blake Lively and Robyn Lively. When the Gossip Girl alum turned 35 on Aug. 25, her half-sister Robyn celebrated the occasion with a sweet photo montage of the pair throughout the years. In a tribute posted to Instagram, the Teen Witch star wrote, "Awww you're my best friend." "Now everyone knows you're barely barely younger than me," Robyn continued. "Happy Birthday sweet sissy, you're kinda special to me." The video, set to Queen's "You're My Best Friend," comes nearly two weeks after Blake hit up Disneyland with Robyn for an early birthday...

Trent O’Donnell directs and co-wrote the screenplay with Johnson. The deal was struck with Scott Bedno of Myriad Pictures.

HBO Max has sweetened the elixir for “Harry Potter” fans: It launched Wednesday with all eight of Warner Bros.’s movies based on J.K. Rowling’s popular fantasy book series.

All eight Harry Potter movies are available for streaming on HBO Max, the WarnerMedia service that launched Wednesday in the U.S.
Released between 2001 and 2011, the films based on J.K. Rowling’s family-friendly series of books collectively grossed $7.7 billion for Warner Bros. Like other Warner titles, they had premium cable releases on HBO and in 2018 became available via the HBO Go and HBO Now streaming apps. (Go is for pay-tv subscribers to HBO and Now is a stand-alone version of HBO.) Digitally, they were available for rental and purchase but not via subscription streaming through a single outlet for non-hbo subscribers.
As was the case when Disney secured the Star Wars feature lineup for Disney+, WarnerMedia wanted to avoid any perception issue by herding all of the films into the HBO Max pen. Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, a spinoff of the Potter films, will also be available on HBO Max.

Scream Factory’s slate of Blu-ray releases continues to expand in all directions, from recent indie releases to beloved cult favorites to the movie classic and esoteric, as evidenced by several of its recent offerings. Here are just three new Scream Factory titles that represent the breadth of the company’s constantly growing catalogue.
The Clovehitch Killer: First up is 2018’s The Clovehitch Killer, a serial killer drama from IFC midnight starring Dylan McDermott as a geeky suburban dad whose teenage son (Charlie Plummer) has begun to suspect he might be a serial killer. A lot of have those times when we want to step out of our own lives and experience what it’s like to be someone else, someone popular, and someone that gets all the attention. Teen Witch was a movie that was designed specifically to show just what could happen when someone that doesn’t have anything going for them gets a taste of the kind of power that can elevate them to something that’s far beyond anything they ever imagined, only to realize that they didn’t really need it in the first place. As far as memorable movies go this one

A lot of 1980s movies having to deal with teenagers seemed intent on telling a story and doling out a moral as well. Teen Witch though delivered a very important message that a lot of people should take to hear when coming into their high school years. There’s no such thing as easy while you’re growing up and learning how to sort out your life, if you want it, then go get it. But learn how to earn it. Here are a few things you might not have known about the film. 10. Robyn Lively’s mom had a lot to

Not all teenage werewolf movies are created equal.
As a kid, I couldn’t have been more primed to see 1985’s Teen Wolf, a movie that seemed positively made just for me. I was obsessed with star Michael J. Fox, first from his TV work as Alex P. Keaton on Family Ties and then as Marty McFly in Back to the Future, to this day my favorite movie of all time. Werewolves have always been my movie monster of choice, even as a boy of just eight years old. Combining Michael J. Fox with werewolves—in a high school comedy, no less, then (and possibly still) one of my favorite film genres—seemed a foolproof recipe for a classic. And, in its way, Teen Wolf is a classic: a movie that’s probably as good as it can be while still being far from great. It’s sweet, it means well,...

There are a lot of things we love about Blake Lively (her fashion sense, her adorable daughters, her romance with husband Ryan Reynolds), but one of our favorites is her silly and sweet bond with her older sister, Robyn. The two, who are also incredibly close with their sister Lori, have never been shy about flaunting their sisterhood. From Blake channeling Robyn's iconic character in Teen Witch to them giving each other shout-outs on Instagram, we can never get enough of the Lively gals. Most recently, they laughed up a storm when they stepped out in New York City together in February. In our opinion, nothing can "Top That" (Sorry, had to). This review contains spoilers.

6.2 Hostage Situation
I was down on the first bunch of episodes in the previous season of Girls. I found the comedy too broad and the tone unreal. However, last season regained its footing about halfway into its run to become one of the show’s best.
I mention this because, although the final season has plenty of time to turn things around, as of right now… hoo-boy. If I thought that the season premiere got a little too goofy (I did), I didn’t know what goofy was until I saw Hostage Situation. But it’s actually worse than that because at least the premiere was clearly trying to be funny sometimes and dramatic at others.

Has Hannah actually grown up and gained some self-awareness?
Girls Season 6 Episode 2 appears to suggest that the impossible has, in fact, happened. With a disastrous trip upstate, Hannah lays out some harsh truths for Marnie.
Meanwhile, back in the city, Shosh has some realizations of her own about her relationship with Jessa and her friendships.
Some of Girls' best moments take place when said girls are out of the city, thrust into new and strange environments. This was the case for Hannah with the Girls Season 6 Premiere, when she was in Montauk for the majority of the season opener.
Similarly, "Hostage Situation" found Hannah reluctantly accompanying Marnie and Desi on their secret "jaunt" to Poughkeepsie. Fittingly, that was where Marnie and Desi's relationship reached its (hopefully) final breaking point.
The revelation that Desi is actually a drug addict was, in itself, not terribly surprising. Desi has always had a...

Blake Lively and sister Robyn Lively have been having a whirlwind adventure in NYC this week. After celebrating Galentine's Day with their mom at a L'Oréal event and attending the Michael Kors runway show hand in hand for New York Fashion Week, the two were photographed walking through the city together on Wednesday. Although they looked absolutely gorgeous (as usual), what we really want to know is what had them cracking up. Did they just read one of Ryan Reynolds's hilarious tweets, perhaps? Or maybe one of the photographers made a Teen Witch joke? Either way, we can't get enough of how adorable they are. Related:Celebrity Siblings You Probably Didn't Know About...

Blake Lively was in good company at the People's Choice Awards in La on Wednesday night. The actress glowed in a black minidress and was joined by her older sister Robyn, who's famously known for her role in the 1989 classic film Teen Witch. Inside, Blake took home the award for favorite dramatic movie actress for her role in The Shallows. During her speech, she encouraged girls to speak their minds and then jokingly yelled at fans in the audience about husband Ryan Reynolds, saying, "You can't have him! He's mine!" Just before her arrival, Blake posted an Instagram snap of herself getting ready and thanked her glam team for "making me look like I slept more than 2 hours last night." We don’t normally do Blu-ray release announcements here on Nerdly, but when one of my favourite 80s teen movies (I mean that sincerely, despite how much the film is derided) is set for feature-packed release, I can’t help but shout it from the rooftops!

You’ll forgive “The Escape” if it plays up some of the more eye-popping attributes of BMW’s line of luxury vehicles — like that they can single-handedly bring down a helicopter, given the appropriate method of connection, sure, okay — if only because the automaker has again footed the bill for superb slice of action-centric short filmmaking.

Summer’s about halfway over, which means it’s time to start wringing all of the joy out of the remaining, snow-less weeks of the year. Your progress will impeded and aided by Netflix’s new arrivals and departures—which include a new David Cross special (coming!) and Teen Witch (going!)—which will alternately consume and free up your time.
August features a lot of Netflix original debuts, including the stop-motion The Little Prince. Mark Osborne’s screen adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s novella was summarily dropped by Paramount from the distribution schedule earlier this year, but Netflix snapped it up in March. Still, the movie won over the Cannes Crowd, and features a star-studded voice cast, including Jeff Bridges (as the aging Aviator), Rachel McAdams, Paul Rudd, Albert Brooks, Marion Cotillard, and Benicio Del Toro. You’ll get your first gander at the film on August 5.

After reuniting with her Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants costars and enjoying Taylor Swift's Fourth of July bash, Blake Lively is back to making flawless, stylish appearances on the sidewalks of NYC. Although she didn't channel Beyoncé or her older sister Robyn's Teen Witch character this time around, the Shallows actress stunned on Tuesday when she was photographed leaving her hotel in a nude dress with a bright, lacy coral print. Later that evening, Blake opted for a sparkly blue number and was all smiles as she made her way into her car. On Wednesday, she stepped out in a boho-inspired dress and nude heels. It's just the latest in a long list of gorgeous street style moments that Blake has had since announcing she and husband Ryan Reynolds are expecting their second child together, and we can't wait to see what she wears next!

Blake Lively may be battling a shark in her upcoming movie, The Shallows, but she looked like a real-life mermaid when she stepped out of her hotel in NYC on Monday. Not only did her embellished dress look like a gorgeous gem from under the sea, but she definitely gave us hair goals with her wavy blond locks. Later that day, she looked just as perfect when she showed off her growing baby bump in a flowing yellow ensemble and a formfitting blue dress while out with Ryan Reynolds. The actress continued her flurry of gorgeous appearances on Tuesday, stepping out on two separate occasions - both equally stunning - in a flirty white dress and then again in a maroon number. On Wednesday, she channeled her sister Robyn's Teen Witch character by crimping her hair and sporting a navy long-sleeved dress. Later that day, she wowed in a fitted black dress with colorful sequins.
