Old "Great Depression" Short That Is Still Funny Today (Spoilers Included)
MovieMan-11214 May 2001
Warning: Spoilers
Have you ever ran into a loud mouth? At the store? At work? Even In a church? Well if you have then you'll appreciate this short classic that is even funnier today than when it was released because most people were too worried about where their next dollar was coming from during the great depression and that was when this film was released.

Del Lord, famous director of the Three Stooges shorts, directed this story of one man in various comical vignettes playing the "loud mouth" - a guy who can't keep a secret and is always getting himself in trouble with everyone he comes in contact with by shouting out his opinions and criticizing strangers to their face. Several classic scenes include:

1.) While in a grocery store, the loud mouth spots a 300 pound lady getting meat from the butcher and yells to his friend "Hey Jim... check out the dame with the meat! She's bigger than Kentucky and uglier than a pile of warts!" A fight occurs and the loud mouth is thrown out of the store.

2.) While at his job as a volunteer firefighter, the loud mouth is told a story by a co-worker about another married co-worker who is having an affair with a 14 year old girl. After pinky swearing he won't say a word to anyone, the loud mouth begins telling the story to every fireman he passes saying "Do you believe that pervert? They should call the coppers on that one...then lock 'em up and throw away the key!" When the co-worker who had the affair finds out the loud mouth told everyone, he gets in a fight with the loud mouth. Before the fight begins, the loud mouth rats out the guy who told him the story and they both get beat up.

3.) While in church for sunday services, the loud mouth sees an altar boy drop a container of holy water and shouts out: "Clumsy Ox!" He gets thrown out of the church..of course.

Great Stuff! See it if you can.
