I found it to be a heartwarming film for all ages.

I own a 3/4 inch film transfer of this film which I obtained from the Library of Congress in 1990. I've seen the video tape copy many times. It was produced by The Wharton Brothers in September & October of 1915.The movie moves along and tells a story about a star Quarterback who raffles himself of to the women of the world to help support his little mother. He falls in love with Helen Heyer his chums sister after he already has himself being raffled off for a dollar per chance. Many ugly women are buying up the coupons including the fat cook who is played by Oliver Hardy and is the real winner. It all has a happy ending Thurlow Bergen wins his real wife Elsie Esmond who takes the part of Helen Heyers in the movie. The quality is Okay except for several over-exposed scenes, the comedy and action are well done as well as the acting and camera work.
