A spectacle worthy of the best in motion picture production
deickemeyer3 June 2015
The third in the Oz stories and truly, as the producers say, their crowning effort. The Emerald City in all its splendor is presented, and all the familiar and popular characters are produced with close fidelity to the story. It is a worthy representation of a popular story. Gen. Jinger's soldiers, in glittering apparel, along with the others ultimately resolve into a spectacle worthy of the best in motion picture production. The producers deserve great credit for bringing such an accurate and altogether sumptuous film. It is hoped that some managers will see the picture's strength and run it more than one day. It would draw a week anywhere. - The Moving Picture World, June 4, 1910
