The Wanderer is alone. In a bunker that was once a suburban home, they live out the days of their life in total isolation. 2020 took a turn no one expected, and they may be the only one left. But - it's not so bad. The world before was not kind to The Wanderer - they were rejected when they tried to make friendships and to get their parents to understand their unique viewpoints. They remind themselves of their pain every day, listening to cassette taped journals they've made about the heartache of the past. Today is day 700 of the isolation. They pop in a tape from Day 371. They go outside. And as the tape plays them the reminders of the reasons isolation is better than companionship, they come to a realization that perhaps after all this time... they've had it wrong.
