If you have an interest in forensics and analyzing information in suspicious cases, this is a fantastic documentary. They consult with renowned forensic psychologist Dr. Cyril Wecht on the cases. The retired detectives NYPD detectives and the criminology professor are dissecting cases of accidental drownings which are not accidental at all. The way the different police departments react when presented with differing evidence is very interesting to watch. Some of them act like they care but then do nothing. One medical examiner refuses to change the manner of death from accidental to homicide when there are clear ligature marks on the body-which they suspiciously didn't include in the original autopsy report. After the PD refuses to give the family the recovery photos they meet with the DA to get the photos, and this is the only way they would have ever seen or known about the ligature marks.
There is obviously a pattern in these deaths, and it would only seem conspiratorial if you lack the ability to stoically analyze the evidence in front of you-which includes numerous meetings with experts in their field. It is unfortunate this isn't an ongoing series.
