7/10
A good conclusion.

This Antoine series/saga is an odd one, as it begins with a kind of intense coming-of-age drama and then merges into becoming more of a romantic-comedy series as it goes along. I think the most serious and most distinct The 400 Blows is easily the best of the lot, but the next four installments are all consistently good. I don't think they leave as much of an impact, but they're breezy, enjoyable, and sometimes relatable in the way that just about all of Francois Truffaut's dramedies are. I do think he might've been one of the most consistent filmmakers of all time, because I come away from almost everything he made saying, "Yeah, that was pretty good."

And yeah, Love on the Run was pretty good.
