The film follows classic horror film formula. It opens in 1976 with has-been Scream Queen Natty Nocks (Joey Bothwell) working as a prostitute in her home town. The town claims she is a witch and they burn her as she curses revenge against them and their children. Her son was a witness to everything so we know the plot already. The picks up 47 years later so technically we should be dealing with teen grandchildren. The film center on Wyatt (Thomas Robie) his family and friend Robbie (Noen Perez). Britt (Charlotte Fountain-Jardim) is about the same age as Wyatt but babysits his sister Jolie (Channah Zeitung). During skipping school, their antics allows them to view the missing girl and the guy who kidnapped her. This lead to a cat and mouse game. The killer lives in the old Nocks house.
They eliminate cell phones due to a lack of money. It takes a while for the kids to figure out what the viewers have already deduced. The film also has Robert Englund in a minor role. Bill Moseley plays the killer. Seasoned horror film star Danielle Harris plays the mom. Decent film that has all the bells and whistles.
