The story is presented as a true story, but in fact, had some inaccuracies. Schottland had served as a german soldier, but prior to world war one. With this knowledge, it becomes another world war two spy thriller, but not quite the documentary it's sometimes said to be. It's still a good tale! Starring jack hawkins, who was nominated for four baftas in the 1950s. Keep an eye out for donald pleasence in a small role.
