Still/Born (2017)
7/10
Underrated Horror Movie
2 July 2023
Mary (Christie Burke) delivers twins but one of them is stillborn. Her husband Jack (Jesse Moss) supports her and when he notes that she is not well, he takes Mary to the psychologist Dr. Neilson (Michael Ironside), but she lies to him. She does not tell that she has hallucinations and overhears voices. Mary befriends her next-door neighbor Rachel (Rebecca Olson) but she believes a demon wants to take her newborn son.

"Still/Born" (2017) is an underrated Canadian horror movie, with an ambiguous story of a traumatized young mother that believes a demon wants to kidnap her son. Christie Burke has a great performance and convinces as a woman delivering a baby that goes crazy due to the loss of a baby. The conclusion is dark and the open end a cliché of horror movies. My vote is seven.
