Although this movie is a comedy there is an important message in it. That message has to do with how in our society in which women marry their careers they often become lousy wives to their husbands if they get married at all. The imaginary country of Bukistan in which women dedicate their lives to their husbands isn't liberated and so has its own shortcomings but it doesn't have the shortcomings our country has. This movie is honest about the short comings in the two societies. I can't spoil the movie by writing about the ending other than to say that it caught me by surprise and that it got the message across.
