Always Amore (2022 TV Movie)

Surprise, surprise
2 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Okay, so there were quite a few cliches in this movie. And yes, there were a few side actors who didn't do it for me (namely the best friend, who seemed like she was reading from a prompter).

BUT the REAL surprise in this movie was Autumn Reeser and Tyler Hynes. Wow! They both delivered in a very big way - individually and then together. Their chemistry was off the charts, from the very first glance. And yes, there were a lot of glances (that would have come off cliche if there wasn't so much fire packed in there!). You could see their humanity, their real reluctance to believe this could be happening, their resistance to trying something new (namely each other), but there was the undeniable chemistry and pull to each other that really came off.

And, wow, Tyler's speech at the end of the movie. I'll say it again: WOW. He brought it all - the raw emotion, the right calculated words, the surrender of what he felt. It was powerful.

And such a delightful change to find in a Hallmark movie. To see some REALNESS, and a real issue dealt with and overcome, in one of these movies. Their pain was real, the desire to overcome it was real, the hope to move on, but no really knowing how. It was all in there. Again, I'll mention Tyler, I have rewatched that ending scene like 5 times, and it hit homes every time. So so good.

And the kiss! Wow! It had fire. Was not just your typical HM kiss, but it fit the both of them and where they were coming from, and the emotion of when they finally got it right. It was swoon-worthy but with depth!

Highly recommend this movie! And will be watching ANYTHING with Tyler Hynes from now on...
