When three sisters come together to plan mom's funeral, strange things begin to happen! They start seeing her, speaking with her, and try to remember which events happened to which sister during their childhood. There's a lot of drinking. And arguing. And things that have never been said finally get said. There's nothing like a reunion to clear the air, for good or for bad. Pretty scenery from the isle of man. It's mostly good. Some uncomfortable moments. People doing things, thinking they are doing it for the right reasons. Nothing really too new here, but it's entertaining. Bits of humor, here and there. Directed by lewis gilbert. He was oscar nominated for alfie. Even directed a couple bond films. Story by shelagh stephenson.
