Moriah's Lighthouse (2022 TV Movie)

A wondrous microcosm of France

I enjoyed the Frenchness of this film, the whole thing tastes of France. The accents were not bad, even the lead female's French was actually very well done. I can tell she took some lessons on pronunciation. No slouch can do what she does vocally. Come to think of it maybe she's fluent, after all her name sounds French.

This film was very gratifying for my escapist side. I felt like I was actually there and it's a rare film that transports you so completely to a foreign land. Props to the whole production for the presentation, especially the atmosphere, landscape, interactions, and cinematography.

Another rarity for Hallmark is that the title is appropriate. This film is about her lighthouse and what it represents. It represents her heart. You will absolutely love "Moriah's Lighthouse" if you are anything like me. No, it's not my absolute favorite because the romance came to life a bit late. The friendship was actualized early on, and I felt familiar and comfortable with their relationship. On a positive note, this movie can stand on its own without the romance, that's how proficient it is at capturing the charm of the people and culture. Well done.
