Warning: Spoilers
Deported criminal Carl Stock returns to London to retrieve some money he is owed from a previous robbery and also get back with his estranged wife Kay. The plot thickens however leading to safecracking and murder. I liked this low budget crime film directed by the underrated Montgomery Tully. It moves at a good pace and has a neat conclusion at the Arsenal football ground. Mainly liked it for the performances of the ubiquituous Michael Ripper as the put-upon Lenny, William Hartnell as the acidulous Supt. Frawley and in a small role Sylvia Davies as perky young Sally. The music score by Don Banks had some nice jazzy moments. An undemanding film but worth a watch.

One wonders how authentic the safe cracking sequence was and if it ever gave anybody inspiration to burgle a peter. Who knows?
