And interesting concept for the storyline...and I noticed that there are no major changes in difficulty. As a YouTube fella said, what's really best about this is "most approachable gameplay." They recycle previous levels and enemies and boss foes from earlier games. Major foe is a remake of Solaris from Sonic 06. Plus you switch between modern and classic for many cases...undoing that time space rift Eggman and his classic self caused with that Time Eater.
Many good remixes of classic stage music...plus so many creative challenges and awesome final clash, both versions of Sonic turn Super and go against that Time Eater. Where you switch between them for certain situations, but overall a simple clash. I'm glad I later got to play it when I had a PS3. It was a well made anniversary game and although it wasn't for 5 years later that the franchise was saved...this came close to that.
