The Best Fight Choreography from the 21th Century.
9 March 2023
A group of elite policemen is to raid Indonesia's largest drug house. It starts pretty well, but then it takes a turn for the worse. Both the tenants and the drug lord's henchmen start chasing the police and it gets really brutal. They are stuck in a 30-story building with only one way out: fight.

The score is great. The music helped create a very tense atmosphere. Not only is it phenomenal choreography but the beginning of the film when they are sneaking around with their rifles is very exciting. It's a bit worrying as enemies can come from all possible corners. Then it explodes and you are stunned by what you witness.

Great choreography combined with exceptional photography. It makes up for it if you have the world's best martial artist in front of the camera lens if the photo sucks. The film contains perhaps the best action choreography of this century. Surprisingly brutal and impressive action. I grimaced and turned in my seat several times. It's very well done, but after a while, it becomes repetitive and almost boring.

The movie is so ugly, disgusting, and almost too brutal. The film takes place in a large madhouse with people who inject everything possible into their bodies. There will be some poor variation in the environment so all the fight scenes will be almost too similar. Then some fight scenes go on for an awfully long time with a slightly unrealistic number of blows that could potentially kill. The last 20 minutes feel quite repetitive and boring, even though what actually happens on the screen is magical.

But the environment is also one of the film's strong points. The corridors are narrow and the rooms are small; it gets a little claustrophobic and the fights get more intimate. The police have to solve many problems to get around the house without attracting attention. They don't want to be stuck in a room surrounded by 30 men. Perhaps the rooms should be designed a little differently for better variety, but at the same time, it is a little special that everything is so boring, ugly, and disgusting.

The film consists of over 90 minutes of constant action. But there is also some interesting drama between the two brothers. It is similar to John Woo's "A Better Tomorrow". I honestly didn't understand the main story, but I don't care either. I think there were some twists and such but not sure. A bit limited with character development too perhaps.

It's a very simple film, but everything is very well executed. It's a very dark and brutal film, but worth seeing. You won't find much more intense and mind-blowing action than this. Very good movie. 7.5/10.
