I will try to mantain the review spoiler free, but in case,be warned. I've been watching a lot of slashers lately and giallo movies too, so maybe i am a bit tired of the genre and this affected my viewing. This movie however looks cheap, is not very well written and the least said about the acting, the better. Do you remember those hacky 2000's slasher ls that tried to imitate Scream, but failed? This is like those movies but in 1986. They try to be tongue in cheek and we have a horror movie fanatic character that is irritating as a cold sore: he is incredibly loud and does a couple of "practical jokes" during the movie that would get your ass handed to you even by the calmest of guys. Really funny stuff. Btw the rest of the cast looks like some teen soap opera rejects and their dialogue is even worse. We have the jock jock, the rich jock, the nerdy jock and their female counterparts. All of them in their thirties or so it seems, they are supposee to be medical students but i hope none of them gets even near an hospital, because they are terrible..at everything. Also they lowkey hate each other, or want to sleep with each other. Stereotypical horny slasher teens. The killer was obvious around the second kill, even if it makes no sense unless she is a speedster. Spoilers: it's a woman, count how many women are in the movie and the only one that isn't always in a scene is the killer. This movie commits many sins: it continuosly quotes the name of other, better movies. It doesn't know when to end so we have a last, completely unneeded scene after the killer is dead, but it's a shower scene and the actress is very fit, so if you're into that, good for you. The kills are luckluster and at least in the version i saw they happen off camera, i guess for budget reasons? Last but not least: it's booooring. There's zero tension and 90% of the movie is an absurd plot by one of the characters to sleep with another, while the others are getting killed,maybe? Sometimes, sometimes we assume they are dead.
