I really like the OG saga. I grew up watching the movies and I have a special place for the characters in my memory. Buuuut... when I found out they were going to make a prequel I was actually excited, I just wanted to see more of the characters I like and their world; then I found out it was going to be centered in the 2 sugar skulls from the og movies and I was starting to be a little skeptical, I never really loved them and I didnt thought they could support a whole movie on theyre own. I was sadly right. The story of the movie is not really interesting, and it doesnt add any real value to the og saga. The new characters are interesting but just that, and while they have their little moments but thats not enough, most of the time they arent funny and are doing nothing, they are mostly meaningless. The story is also boring, it has a million plot holes and weird decisions made by the characters just to move the plot. And while I loved the cameos from the OG saga characters, those things cant save a whole film. The only improvement over the og films is the animation, its better and prettier. A sad way to bring back this saga.
