2 families - blood-related by unexplained lineage, go to one of those hyper-kitsch, plastic and disgusting mountain/forest/lake retreats - kinda the epitome of All-American vulgarity !
Expect it all - dads having buds-at-the-bar, prissy bimbo wives, eating a '96-er' at a diner, 'log cabins' (ie: luxury condos covered in logs), mindless noisy fast boat action (in a 'tranquil natural retreat'), 'scary' bear stories, singing 'Yackety-Yack' by The Coasters in the wooden-panelled car on the journey there, and worst of all, 'man-to-man', 'manly' rugged pursuits (ie: sitting on a fishing boat fishing and drinking); PASS THE SICK BUCKET !
That said, it's all a bit of a superficial laugh, and you should watch it with a pinch of salt; accept the All-American vulgar abyss as merely (self) parodic !
The twin little girls are also something of a spectacle. Never saying a word but baring creepy stares and gratuitously screaming, they remind me of something off The Shining !
