Awesome silent era picture
3 November 2022
Directed by one of the best, greatest silent era film makers: Fred Niblo, who gave us MARK OF ZORRO, BLOOD AND SAND and the best BEN HUR movie, a bit better than the William Wylers's feature. Forget the last remake of 2016, pure garbage. So this Alexandre Dumas's novel adaptation is an amazing one, I guess the best. Action packed, enjoyable, funny, helped a lot of course by the presence, and everything that means, of Douglas Fairbanks at his peak. He is more athletic as ever, as he was in ZORRO, ROBIN HOOD or THIEF OF BAGDAD main characters. One of the greatest athlete actor of all times for me. Just enjoy.
