They just don't make kid shows like this anymore. Nothing has been, or will ever be, as iconic as this show is for kids. Not only do you have a slew of memorable, fun good guys and bad guys with GI Joes, but you get educational public service announcements that help kids be more safe and respectful in society.
It's just good 'ol fashioned childhood fun. Sure it's cheesy, and it may not have nearly the impact on newer generations as it had on those that grew up in the 80's and 90's, but unlike a lot of modern shows, it made sense, and wasn't filled with absolute nonsense.
It's a pivotal show that helped pave the way for all future cartoon shows for kids to come. YOOOOOOO JOE!!!!
