For someone born in 1982, I should remember this 80's/early 90's gem, but I don't remember it at all ! Was I 'too old' for it ?
Basically children's songs - some traditional and some original, sung by Rainbow singing trio Rod, Jane & Freddy. Different themes - some fantasy-based and some 'everyday'-orientated - are adopted, from cooking and housework, right up to pantomime and festive treats. Kitschy but classy stage sets are the setting for the singing, dancing and acting trio.
Jane Tucker looked absolutely stunning in her trademark black tights; her cute little toned figure ! Jane aside, this was a cute, charming, simple and classy show; kitsch in a good class of the 80's way !
Let's give it 9/10 - not least for Jane, for it being near perfect archetypal 80's delight !
