Not nearly as good or fun as it might have been

This could hardly be more low-budget. The production values are just about as low as they could be without appearing wholly amateurish. While filmmaker León Klimovsky would seem to have a number of credits to his name preceding this one, his direction in this instance is far less than gripping. Acting, plot development, and the basic orchestration of many scenes are bizarrely sluggish, and genuinely soporific. The image is especially grainy, the audio is slightly muffled, and the lighting options appear to have been "natural" or "none"; it's sometimes difficulgt to discern precisely what is happening in a moment. Abnormal eventfulness defining the narrative is woven in with an non-urgent casualness recalling George Romero's 'Night of the living dead' - classic, yes, but not exactly red-hot riveting and thrilling. The concept is promising; the execution is interesting mostly only a very rudimentary level. I wouldn't say that 'The vampires night orgy' is "awful," but nor is there any real reason to specifically check it out.

The filming locations are outstanding, providing inherent atmosphere - pretty much the only atmosphere in this genre piece, for that matter. Only in the last fifteen minutes do the horror vibes truly come to fruition, and it's fairly well done, if not wholly remarkable. The music is an odd mixed bag; at its best it does lend to what tension there is in the story, not least at the climax. It's no fault of the cast, but between the poor image quality and dull costume design and hair and makeup work, most of the actors as they appear here are indistinguishable from one another - a fact which further dampens what better fun this could have represented.

You could do worse; you could do a lot better. If you're a Klimovsky completionist there might be a major reason to watch this - otherwise, probably not. 'The vampire night orgy' has its moments, but just doesn't meet the potential of the premise. Oh well.
